As far as I can tell it's just a regular old hand squeeze juicer. It is true that it's well made but it's by far the best.

This works well; it's easy to clean. It's also quite sturdy and looks like it will last a long time. I have a few concerns, though: It wasn't clear where the juice would come out of the juicer. There were no instructions in or on the box. I put a half lemon in the cup with the cut side up but was puzzled because the drain holes at the bottom of the outer cup are covered by the lemon rind when pressure is applied. Turning the squeezer perpendicular to the kitchen counter was the answer; the juice ran out between the top half and bottom half. So do the seeds. After the first squeeze I flipped the lemon half over so the pulp side faced down and squeezed again. Cutting each lemon half in thirds or quarters seems to result in better juice extraction. A big concern is how heavy the device is. If dropped from counter height, it could mash a toe or foot, hurt an underfoot pet, or damage a tile floor. Overall I would probably buy this model again.

It's well made, but the issue I have with it is that it doesn't close fully enough to get all the juice out of a lemon or lime quarter. I end up having to fold them over and re-squeezing them. It's a minor issue, but it would be nice if it would just close tightly enough to get all the juice in one squeeze. Updated: over time, the citric acid eats of the plating. Now it stains everything and has become basically useless.

This lemon squeezer performs well enough but for my purposes I do not think I would need this item. I think it would be perfect for squeezing one or two lemons, but if you were going to squeeze a lot of them, it might be easier to use a device where you can twist the lemon as I feel that gets more of the juice out.To me if I was going to squeeze one lemon I would just cut it in half and twist and squeeze it in my hand. This lemon squeezer does the same thing and does a decent job, but I think I can get more lemon juice out squeezing it by hand. This does do a nice job of keeping the seeds out, but I normally squeeze over a strainer.While this squeezer performs well I just do not see the need for having it in my drawer! It's really only appropriate for squeezing a couple lemons and you will probably still want to get what's left by hand anyway. If I was squeezing a half dozen lemons I would use a different type.If you are the type of person who really does not want to touch a lemon then I will say that this lemon squeezer is easy enough to use. It does not take a lot of effort to squeeze, but you do have to tip it to the side and back again several times to get most of the juice out. The lemon goes into the squeezer with the cut fruit down where the holes are. When you squeeze the squeezer tool will turn your lemon piece inside out.This item is extremely heavy for a kitchen gadget but it is stainless steel and dishwasher safe. I would expect this kitchen tool to last for a lifetime.While it is not my cup of tea, and I do not see a use for it, it's a decent item if you absolutely do not want to hold a lemon in your hand or get any juice on your hands.One thing I would note is that the lemon we bought to test it, while it seemed like a normal size, was actually a little big for this squeezer. It might work better for small lemons or limes which tend to be a little smaller anyway. Either that or you could just cut the lemon up into several small pieces.While there is technically nothing wrong with this item, I just find it unnecessary when my hand works better. hard to use for women and kids...

this lemon juicer is not pure stainless steel and there isn't a stamp on the product as well. The zinc alloy that coats the juicer has a fake look and feel to it. In addition, the inside of the juicer where the lemon is placed, is all pitted and faded. This concerns me; is the product leaking into my lemons? I will do some research on zinc alloy to see if it is safe and follow up with another review. In the meantime, I would not recommend this product solely on the the absence of the stainless steel stamp and the pitting occurring on the inside.

Great mini-juicer! I have cut down my mix time on Bloody Marys and Moscow Mules by at least 33%. Very east to clean too. I would buy again. Company seems great so I'm pretty sure that I'll do business with them again.
