Don't drop
Perfect EDC, and is very high quality! Comes with tool to replace blade. Don't drop. The fasteners will loosen immediately, and will need to be tighten down. My first one dropped, fasteners flew across the room, wasn't able to use again

With one simple design change this thing would be perfect
I really like the texture, size, and functionality of this thing. Here's the deal though: It's got FOUR corners, and it's held together with THREE screws - one in each of three corners. And the corner that doesn't have a screw in it? It's the ONLY corner where a screw is absolutely necessary - because it's the corner where the blade edge comes out of. And the blade itself is held in place by a piece of spring-loaded metal on the blade-edge, the sides of which don't sit exactly flush with the rest of the housing. The result is that the corner that doesn't have a screw has a gap in it - the two halves of the blade housing don't "meet" flush with each other on the same corner the blade comes out of the housing. It's noticeable to the naked eye - about a 1mm gap. I'm confused as to why this made it to production. It's a glaring design flaw, as there's PLENTY of space to accommodate a screw on the corner that's missing one. My original thought was that they didn't add a screw on that corner because then there wouldn't be space for the blade to enter/exit the housing. But if you unscrew the thing and look below the edge of the blade, and compare the physical space available there to the physical space one of the screws needs, it's obvious that there's enough space for a screw - at a push, maybe by moving the placement of the blade inside the housing up a fraction of a millimeter might be needed for structural integrity. Also, a minor thing - something I wouldn't detract a star for if the above noted issue didn't exist: The button is painted orange, and the paint comes off easily. Really easily. And the opening in the housing for the button is just slightly taller than the button itself, so the button has a tendency to wiggle around a bit. Also, the material the button is made of is exceptionally cheap - and you can tell, because it contrasts with the quality materials used in the rest of the construction rather sharply (pun intended). I just can't really get over the missing screw thing though. It's so obvious to me. What exacerbates it, is that this thing is EXPENSIVE for what it is. I wouldn't expect such a glaring design flaw in a much, much cheaper pocket knife - so why do I have to live with it when I paid extra money, for something that I believed when I purchased it, would be worth the extra money - because of the ceramic blade (which is great btw), premium materials, and well-executed build quality. I really do like the feel, texture, weight, and overall quality of this knife - as I do pretty much all of Splice's knifes. And really, the build quality is great, the design is great - overall - but the missing screw really does absolutely negate all of that. It's unfortunate, because I want to keep this thing, but then I also want to return it, get Splice to fix the design, and then send me another one once they do. One more thing that confuses me: Splice's carton cutter is hands down the best, most quality carton cutter on earth. Absolute perfection on all counts. And it's only $8. Please Splice - I'm begging you to fix this one :(

Use it every day
Anytime I'd reach for a kitchen knife or box cutter I've switched to this, far more versatile and safe. Holding up really well after 4 months now.

Love this for opening boxes.
This one is sharp and cuts tape and cardboard easily. It’s tiny, so, having it in your pocket is easy to keep with you and it isn’t in the way when reaching into your pocket for other things. Blade is short so it doesn’t cut very deep; won’t be good for a task that requires a long blade. The blade is very sharp HOWEVER if there are staples under the tape of your boxes, the blade will chip pretty easily.

NOT LEFT HANDER FRIENDLY!
Review for: 10496 EDC Pocket Knife This thing is OK if you're right handed, but it is NOT left-hander friendly as mentioned. When I first picked it up, I'm like what is going wrong here? The blade is upside down when you use it left-handed as expected. So I read that it's ambidextrous and open ti up, expecting to filp the blade to make it left-handed. That's not possible! When you use it left-handed the blade is pointed up toward you which is VERY DANGEROUS!. So you have to hold it upside down to use which changes the button location to your pointer finger. This is a pain to operate in this manner! It feels wrong/upside down in your hands because it is. If you pick it up in your right hand it feels nature because it's designed for right handers. I looked up in this page or package to see if there's any modifications for left handers!? NO. Why do they claim it's ambi? I seriously want to return it. To mod the item they include a tiny Allen stick/wrench. Be very careful opening the package as this fell out on the ground immediately. Put it in a ziplock bag or something. Also if you take it a part, make sure you get a magnifying glass out or a big table because these 3 screws are microscopic and easily lost. Pros =great if you're right handed and ok with buying more blades =lanyard hook Other cons =very little usable blade. 2 centimeters? The usable blade portion is the length of one of my keyboard keys. It almost seems like a scam to get you to buy more blades. =only provides one blade you can flip once =they give you a little wrench with nowhere to put it.
