Great product. Long & detailed review
Warning, long review! But a good read if you are detail oriented person, like me.I’ve been searching for a simple and easy (but classy) curtains for my back French doors. I live in city limits and neighbors can, at times, see into my kitchen. These curtains not only offer privacy but help reduce sunlight/heat/cold into my kitchen. In the following paragraphs/sections, I plan to explain how I went about my install then pros and cons of this product. Before I dive in, I’d like to mention that I bought a quantity of 2. I was a bit hesitant on if there were two panels or just one… easier to return one than have just one hanging up while waiting on the other. Also, I used rubbing alcohol to clean the surface area for the best adhesion. It’s important to note that rubbing alcohol may not work for every surface type out there. Use caution.Install:(Measure:) I measured the width and length of the window on the door then wrote it down on the instruction manual. I also measured the curtain - since I read a previous review that stated that the curtain was actually “smaller” in size than what is referenced in the description.I found that with my measurements I needed about 2” (on the width measurement) of the curtain to exceed the edge of the window. Almost the same scenario with the length, so I went with an inch above the window. This would allow the curtain to adhere on a flat surface above the window and hang over the lip of the window’s frame. This allowed the curtain to hang past the bottom of the window - for optimal coverage.(Marking measurements:) My door is metal, so I used a pencil and marked one inch above the center of the window (the bottom horizontal edge of the Velcro would sit above this marking) and one inch up ⬆️ and two inches ↔️ from the left and right edge of the window. (Three markings in total so that the Velcro was centered and level with the window).I measured the full length across of the two end markings to determine how long the Velcro strip needed to be. Cut the first one and used the first one as a template to cut the second strip. I then used a pencil to mark the two inches in from the edge of the Velcro so that they would line up with the markings on the door to be centered. Before removing the tape backing, I checked my markings against the markings on the door and they lined up. Removed the backing and adhered the Velcro tape to the door.(Curtain install:) I may advise letting the tape “cure” to the door for optimal adherence. I left it for about 20-30 minutes before hanging up the curtains.Pros and Cons:Pro: very easy and simple install that made such a big change in my kitchen. I could see an instant result in the reduction of sunlight. The color referenced in the listing accurately reflected the color of the panel. I went with the “linen” color to go with the neutral tones of my kitchen and to hide any future or potential stains that come about. In my opinion, solid color curtains show stains and creases easily. Light textured or light patterned curtains disguise it better. As far as sturdiness… I’d say that is very reliant on how clean the surface area is. After hanging up the curtains and then deciding to take them down for adjustments… it was rather difficult for me (a strong grown woman) to remove the Velcro curtain from the Velcro adhered to the door.Cons: and this is not anything the manufacturer could avoid… but it was an eye sore for me.After hanging up the curtains I noticed a ton of creases and wrinkles all throughout. While I could just let the curtains hang and the wrinkles will fall out eventually, I decided to just iron it for better aesthetics. The two straps that hold the curtain up in an “open” fashion were badly wrinkled.(Also worth mentioning, the straps hang underneath the Velcro strip adhered to the curtain, not over the top in front. I only have them flipped over the front to show how badly wrinkled they were)The tag says to iron on low. If you have a steamer, it’ll pull the creases out quickly. If you have an old school iron and iron board like me… it wasn’t that hard either. I started on low heat and gradually increased to maintain integrity of the material. I also used the steam feature on my iron to speed up the process. (Roughly 10 minutes per curtain)I took pictures to show the windows before curtains, one with and one without curtain, one wrinkled and one ironed… for reference. If you are renting or just don’t want to drill holes in your door, this is a great option! Would recommend!

Room Darkening Shades Review: A Perfect Blend of Function and Reliability
I recently purchased a set of room darkening shades for my home, and I’m thrilled with their performance. These shades deliver on their promise of superior light blocking, creating a cozy, darkened atmosphere perfect for relaxing or sleeping in. Even during the brightest hours, they effectively keep sunlight out, keeping my home cool and serene. The fit of these shades is another highlight. They were easy to install and fit the window frames perfectly, leaving no gaps for light to slip through. The measurements were precise, and their sleek design added a modern touch to my home’s aesthetic.I was particularly impressed by the strength of the Velcro used to secure the shades. Unlike other products where hangers failed, the Velcro here is robust and reliable, holding the shades firmly in place without any sagging or slipping. This small detail makes a big difference in everyday use.Overall, these room darkening shades are a fantastic addition to any home looking to control light and enhance comfort. They’re functional, stylish, and built to last, with strong Velcro ensuring they stay secure. Highly recommend!

Quality is great and easy to install.
I bought these to use in my classroom. I have two doors, outside door and the door to the hallway. It works perfectly. My kids nap and I need to dim the lighting; this helps keep the outdoor sunlight out. The quality is thick and better than expected. It was super easy to install as well. It was a bit pricey on a school teacher budget but I got the one that was on sale and was worth it. Better than buying the cheap paper blinds every year. So it was a good investment.

Not bad for the price.
Not bad for the price. Handling them you can tell that they are inexpensive but they look nice. Iron before hanging fit best results. They do block light from the outside and provide privacy inside. The tape strip was a little too long and should be cut to fit. I put the little extra peice at the bottom corner to hold the curtain in place when my AC or fan is blowing.I gave 4 stars because 1 of the panels isn’t quite straight.

Beautiful fabric, easy to install
These shades are perfect for my french doors. I got the green/gray color, depending on light source, sometimes it looks gray, other times green or blue/green. Easy to install. The fabric is very soft, feels and looks high end. It definitely keeps the light out. The only downside I see is that I'll have to iron them. I thought my hand steamer would get the creases out, but it didn't help at all. Otherwise I'm very pleased with my purchase!

Good quality fabric
Just what I needed over my sliding glass doors bc I cannot use a curtain rod. Great quality fabric, nice and thick and definitely blackout. The “velcro”with it is very good and they give you extra. I purchased one color and it didn’t work in my room son I returned it with no issues and purchased the navy blues, which is a very true navy blue color.

Easy installation and heat blockers!
They're installed in 5 minutes, if that! What's even better, they REALLY block the HEAT! I hung them in my dining room, behind my decorative drapes. That room always felt about 10 degrees warmer than the rest of the house since the sun shines through two windows. Not anymore! The room stays nice and cool!!! I also have some on my exterior door windows. LOVE THEM!

Attractive, but narrower than advertised
Pros: These are very quick and easy to hang and pretty attractive both down and up.Cons: the 26 inch is shorter than 26 inches, about 25 to 25.5. Also, they smelled horrible, so I washed them on a delicate cold cycle and dried them on low. Now the blackout coating is full of small holes. They claim to be machine washable.
