Got a couple of these to keep bedroom doors open but also keep baby out of the rooms. Super easy to use! I followed the instructions and mounted the U-shaped adapters to the first door frame. Skipped that part for the second gate. The pressure fit is strong enough to prevent our baby from plowing through. If I were using this for stairs, I would use the U-shaped adapters at a minimum. I like the adjusting mechanism on these - it’s nice and simple. These are the lowest priced baby gates on Amazon currently, yet they feel like they’re good quality and plenty sturdy!

Great gate, I like that you can install to swing open and for closing. My grandson is busy exploring and on the move so this one was a good investment to coral him to a specific area. Its stable and I like that its a pressure lock, he likes to lean on the gate and it stays in place. A good height if you have a tolder running around, not easy to climb over. Upon arrival all parts were intact with extra screws if needed. Quite easy to install. However, I have cats, some older who do not jump over gates, so I cut a pet door inside the panel. It doesn't come this way. I modified for my needs. Overall pet friendly for my other cats that need a quick escape from the screaming tolder who is chasing them to play. The color and material of the gate is quite appealing and has been a perfect fit for my needs.

This product is ok for the price and does not need to be screwed into the wall but has several shortcomings. The first problem is when the gate cannot be snug to both sides of the wall or you wind up encountering the second problem which is cheap plastic. The gate latch rides on top of a set of plastic teeth that run horizontally that allow for the width adjustment. I assumed that each side of the gate needed to touch the wall. When I latched it, I broke off one of the teeth on the first attempt right after unpacking the gate. The gate actually needs about 1/8 inch opening on each side or 1/4 total which can be hard to judge. I ended up buying another type of gate that attaches to the wall and operates like old style blinds - they roll up when not in use. I found this to be more functional and safer for a small kiddo putting all their weight against the gate.

We used it to separate our cats when we adopted a kitten. He eventually was able to jump it, but it was great for facilitating initial face to face meetings between them. It was easy to install and felt durable. It did not ruin our walls and was pretty cheap all things considered. We will keep it to use when we have a baby or toddler in the house

I am taking care of my son's dog for a few months and this gate has been a life saver. The dog can't get into the area that she is not allowed. The size is fitting for a true Dalmatian (medium/large dog). The quality of this gate is made from strong plastic. They include several ways to install. In the beginning, I opted to use the spring loading method but found that to be a bit cumbersome for me. I finally screwed it into the wall using the included mounts and that has made my life so much more easier (for me to access). It is a good safety gate since it keeps my room off access to the dog. I have had it up for over a month, with no issues. It is sturdy and gets the job done. For me this has been a good value for the money.

Wasn't as easy to use at first, the locking lever is tricky to manuever. Eventually I got the hang of it, and worked well. Sturdiness was decent despite my son hanging on it a few times. Nevertheless, it broke when trying to secure it one night. In use for only about 3 months.

This gate is really nice. I especially like how easy it is to use. It’s durable and I would highly recommend it.

The item was defective. Part of the gate would not lock in place because it was loose. I think it probably got damaged due to shipping. The product of itself is good and I would prefer a replacement. But it is a huge hassle because I will have to return the item myself.
