I originally bought a Penguin Pottery bat system in 2021. I found that several of the inserts did not fit into the main bat. I used it a few times and stored it away. I tried it again a month ago with the same results. This time I emailed the company to ask about what I could do to remedy the problem. They responded the same day and two days later my new bat system arrived. I wasn't aware of their lifetime guarantee on all of their products. Customer satisfaction is their priority and the replacement is perfect. I will buy again from this company anytime I need a product that they sell. I wish I could give them 10 stars!!

The bats fit perfectly and are easy to use.

I was so excited about this bat system, however, I've used 3 of the inserts once so far and they will no longer fit back into the bat system. I even made sure to use as little water as possible to avoid warping. As this system came from a pottery store, I really expected better quality. My work won't come out even with the inserts now fitting unevenly.

I wanted smaller bats bc they take up less room when letting things dry and these are great. The lack of bat pin holes is sometimes an issue if I’m centering harder clay but otherwise no complaints!

These are really sturdy bats, which is nice, but the tolerance may be just a little too tight. Because of the water that they always are going to be subject to, the inserts a lot of times get very sticky and hard to remove. When they are hard to remove, you are more likely to damage your wet piece of pottery, and that is never fun.

Great product. My only complaint is that there is an answered question by the seller that says these bats don’t come with pins so I ordered pins as well and the bats came with pins included. I paid for pins I didn’t need. Not expensive but the product details and questions seem to be outdated and misleading. Please update the product details and add an answer to the question so buyers know what comes in the box.

These are a lot thinner than other bats I have of similar material. I like them because you can typically leave your thrown work on them without your work cracking. Since I use a community space and don't have my own studio, it is often a few days to a week before I remove my work from bats. My main complaint with these is that they warp, no matter what you do. I've had that issue occasionally with other bats, but it's not every time. These warp every time. So every time I use them, I have to set them aside with weight on them to make them useable again. If not for that, these would be great. The pin hole line up perfectly so there is no wiggling around when they're on the wheel. As they are, I would not purchase these again.

This was so easy to install on my Vevor pottery wheel and the bats work great. This is the second set of these that I have and will buy again if I find I need more
