I tried GU Roctane during my full marathon, and I was impressed. The taste, consistency, and flavor are pretty much on par with the regular GU, so if you like that, you’ll enjoy this. I felt good throughout the race—better than usual, actually—until the very end, which is saying something! The only difference I noticed compared to regular GU was that the effects seemed a bit delayed. It took a little longer for fatigue to set in throughout the race. Overall, definitely a solid choice for long-distance endurance. No adverse stomach issues throughout. Definitely swallow with water like normal GU.

I was a dedicated user of Clif Shot gels, but they stopped making them. I was initially hesitant about the different flavors, but tried them. Each flavor was actually pretty good. They are easy on the stomach and the energy shot you get works for me as a road cyclist.

i love to take these on long hikes. i'll take 2 to 3 on 8 hr hikes and they're a great pick me up.not sure on the effectiveness of the amino acids. but i feel great eating these on the go. may be the caffeine

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Excellent product.

Ease of use is the best with these. However they start to taste nasty quick if you use them regularly. Wish they had one with a bit more protein and more electrolytes then just salty sugar which is all it really is. That being said if you need to consume something while working out without a break these are easy.

Great energy booster during a physical activity. All my tennis friends use it during a match. Within 10 minutes you can feel a boost!
