I purchased these for my stair rails and it worked good.Easy to install it and looking good. Great value for the money and build quality.

I'm sure these would work if you read over the description carefully. I looked at the product images, and it appeared that this was being used on a 4x4 wood post. After ordering and receiving the product, I discovered that they will not work with 4x4 lumber; they only work with nominal 2" lumber (1 1/2"). The quality of the item itself is very good, it just wouldn't work for the 4x4 posts that we needed them for.

This product covered a lot of sins with regard to the alignment of my post holes. I found drilling straight holes challenging in the 3/4” pipe and my alignment was not very good. The swivel feature of this hardware adjusts regardless of the slight variations of the bolt alignment and the cables end up looking great. I was not Looking forward to cutting every bolt down to size but after getting into the project decided I didn’t need to. I just used additional 1/4” #20 nuts as spacers.Neither the crimper or the hardware came with any instructions-and I learned the hard way to do two crimps per connection.I know my spacing of 6” isn’t to code-but I like the look. I am going to buy more to have on hand for when we sell and have to split the spacing.
