great staple
I live in the Kenai Pensinsula. Love my salsa, and summers when local gardeners grow and sell their fresh tomatoes. We can everything from moose to smoked or fresh salmon, veggies, pickles and sweets. Fresh herbs are also precious, so we do our best to dry more to use during the winter. I finally chanced upon a salsa recipe that I'm comfortable trying in my canner. Too, I like Asian cookery and like having spices and herbs on hand, in quantities that assure me of seasons ahead. I'm very pleased with this.

Tastes green but not like cilantro
This was a good deal but it didn’t taste like cilantro to me. I expected it to have a milder form of that unique cilantro flavor. For me it didn’t. It just tasted “green” like you knew I was a plant but couldn’t tell if it was grass or herbs or tea. I had bought it to make some camping meals w another freeze dried product but I didn’t end up using it. Customer service was good though. I guess cilantro doesn’t have the same flavor profile when the moisture is removed

As An Ingredient Yes
The strong taste of cilantro, when fresh, is reduced drastically when dried. When dried and used with other ingredients or food it seems to reactivate the taste to some degree. Can be used when fresh is unavailable.

Does what it says on the package.
My normal supplier doesn’t carry this, but I needed it for a menu revision, and the price and quality were right on. This is a very decent quality dried Cilantro.
