NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC THE PHOTO ARK VANISHING

Bought the book as a gift for a friend. Expected it to be in tip-top condition but noticed that a few issues had been covered up. To start off, there was black tape concealing some issue along the spine of the book. It partly covered the nat geo symbol. And I've noticed people talk about a dust cover. My book arrived with no cover of any sorts. I take gift giving seriously and expect my gifts to be in top-notch condition and this was such a bummer. I don't even have time to get it replaced. Such a disappointment. Wouldn't have minded paying extra for the real deal if Amazon discounts are going to compromise on quality.

The took out the cover of the original book and pasted it on a childressn book andd shipped it!!! Cant imagine such a fraud!!!

I've been following the incredible photography of Joel Sartore & his amazing National Geographic Photo Ark Project for years. I'm disturbed by the increasing number of animal species that are vanishing in just my lifetime. Many of these endangered creatures won't be around for the next generation. I support his project & this book is stunningly gorgeous. Capturing the photos as he's done aren't easy. I've gotten several of these books; one for myself & the others as gifts. The recipients all love & treasure this book & its phenomenal photos as much as I. I'll be ordering more in the future! You won't be disappointed as it's perfect for everyone!

Really thick, heavy book. Great value for under £20.
