Works great
Works great, looks wonderful. Easy to install, did needed an 4' extension tube as it was much shorter than the old one, however that posed no problem. Seal Gasket fit perfectly into the sink and this sink is old. No leaks it holds the water for hrs. I tried it. Pop up works great. We will see how the long long term holds up but for now we are very happy and recommend the product

Cure all for sink drain plunger assembly failure.
Have an older set up where the drain pull/push rod assembly came apart and would have to replace a very old but decent shape American Standard and just had the, no longer attached drain "plug" laying in place, held up by a make shift spacer. Esthetically it was just "fine" while we are budgeting the final part of our condominium renovation; the master bath, for hopefully next summer/fall. Didn't know these existed a few months ago, so was debating ro leave as is, or spend a couple of bucks to remove the older pieces completely and add this in, in place. Was cheap enough and Amazon's fairly liberal return policy, went for it. Worked almost completely perfect. Backed off the highest retaining nut from the base of the sink drain easilly. Then removed the p trap [tail pipe receiving nut], tilted the now nearly removed original tail pipe and went in and loosened the sliding adjuster boly that holds the old plunger assembling and pulled the thin down rod out through the top, while the adjuster metal strap fell off. I would say, save the old tailpipe receiving nut, because there may be a difference in diameter and may not fit the new tail piece, which mine was different sizing. Cleaned everything up nice, reassembled and resumed the tailpipe receiving nut and checked for leaks. Done. Estimated DIY time from start to finish; 17 minutes. The fact that these stop gap replacements exist tells you they are a higher fail item, especially in older yet functional bathroom sinks. Was nice to not have to add new sink drain set up to something that will be renovated in the upcoming year. This is a perfect, easy DIY. I just had to use one tool--- channel lock locking pliers. If you havent addressed undersink repair, plenty of youtube videos to get you started. Just be prepared to maybe reuse the one part, as I did. I would also say, I've learned to always use plumbers putty when setting metal to porcelain but wasnt needed. Had a washer that seated perfectly at the sink bowl recessed drain cap, and drop the stem down into the cabinent and line everything up after removing any/all mechanisms that are now no longer relevant with the new push button set-up. Great product.

High-Quality Bathroom Sink Stopper
Easy to install, easier to clean. This is surprisingly well-made for the price - steel, not plastic. The collection basket is brass. Similar plastic products at the DIY stores cost twice as much. I highly recommend.

Good quality materials and workmanship but the stopper leaks
I bought one of these drain kits and then lost it in the garage (I'm sure it's out there somewhere, but I can't find it) so I ordered another one, based on my inspection of the first one when it was first received. This unit is well made and finished, constructed using quality materials. It feels solid and substantial (not thin and flimsy). Once I had the second one, I installed it right away so I wouldn't lose it again. It was easy to install, and the drain gaskets (above and below) seal well with no leaks. I like the way the stopper works. The mechanism feels solid and operates with a nice feel and a slight click to let you know it engaged or released. I like the strainer basket that will catch anything dropped into the sink (jewelry, etc.). My one quibble is that the stopper gasket (the one around the stopper that engages the inside surface of the drain) should be slightly larger - it leaks so the water drains out of the sink over about a 15 minute period. There's no way to soak something in the sink overnight (or even for an hour). I've tried to find a replacement for this gasket but there is no easy way to contact the manufacturer for service (just a self-help trouble shooting guide that doesn't cover this situation). My general impression is high quality but no service. You just have to choose what's important to you.

Fantastic quality & design. Works as promised. Upgrade your sinks!!
These are amazing!! I want to order another one. Love the clean out type design and it was super easy to install.. and Ive never tried to before. Upgraded my old sink visually but also it’s so practical vs the plain old fashioned type. The pop up works perfectly and it hold water when needed. I feel like this is a durable product that will last for many many years to come. Don’t hesitate to upgrade your sinks.. I am soooooo happy with it and it didn’t break the bank.

Drain pipe is too small in diameter
Drain pipe diameter is 1 3/16" instead of 1 1/4". When you use your polyethylene flange washer, and tighten the nut up against it, there is a gap between it and this pipe. When you tighten the plastic nut down, there is still wiggle because the smaller diameter of this pipe does not fit snugly against the flange washer. Because the sink trap is lower than this pipe, it would probably work unless you have a plugged trap, and then I do believe you will have leakage because the standard washer does not fit snugly against its pipe to allow it to tighten up properly in the joint. I doubt it would make a watertight seal. It should have been made to be one and one quarter inch wide instead of 1 and 3/16 in wide. I would suggest not buying it, unless you have some special washers that will fit the diameter of the smaller size pipe. 1/16 of an inch smaller than standard will allow for a lot of water leakage in the right circumstances. I would try to purchase one that says one and one quarter inch for the width of the pipe, and then you won't have any problems. Everything else looks good on this. The stopper works good, and the quality seems good. Maybe this is the size used in other nations, but not normal in America to my knowledge. However, it's like some handrail brackets I brought recently that did not meet code as far as holding the handrail far enough out from the wall. It's amazing how many things get manufactured that are not made to the dimensions they need to be, or to building code requirements.
