Builds on Start With Why with a people-first approach
I picked this up earlier this year, having already read Simon Sinek’s Start With Why, which I found a great foundation for thinking differently about leadership. Leaders Eat Last feels like a natural follow-on – where Start With Why is about purpose, this book dives into the human side of leadership: trust, safety and the kind of environment that lets people thrive.What I like about it is how clearly it shows that leadership isn’t about position, it’s about responsibility. The examples Sinek uses are relatable, showing how leaders who put their people first create teams that are stronger, more resilient and ultimately more successful.I’ve already found myself applying some of the lessons. The science of great leadership
This book is truly amazing. I can't imagine the amount of time that went into doing all the research behind this book.The anecdotes are so good, you just keep reading/listening, based on whether you're using audible or not.Sinek is a great story teller and this book is an example of how to explain what most people might consider relatively difficult topics in a very interesting way.The psychology and the play of hormones behind our behaviours was probably the most valuable part for me. I had never thought of it that way prior to reading the book. And suddenly a lot of things that I kept wondering about started making sense.I wish I had read this book before I took the leap to a leadership role. But maybe I wouldn't have been able to relate it as much if I hadn't given leadership a shot and made my own mistakes earlier.I loved it once and I am sure I will read it many times throughout my career to remind me how to keep being an amazing leader.

Brilliant book from an expert in leadership
I bought this for a friend having read it as part of a master's course. A brilliant read, easy to understand and full of ideas and examples that really make you reflect on your leadership actions and styles. A recommended read for anyone interested in leadership or management.
