OXO Good Grips Large Silicone Basting Brush, 1 EA, Black

Main Use: GrillingI purchased this for applying sauces to meats and vegetables while grilling. I have used it 10+ times so far and here are my findings:-The center circle mesh portion holds onto sauces for easy transport but easily transfer the sauces to the items being grilled, allowing for ample, easy application of thick sauces (such as BBQ or mayonnaise based sauces). I have not tried this on a watery sauce (such as a vinegar base).-Wide bristles make for quick coverage when in use.-The bristles have come into contact with the hot grill grates multiple times and have not deformed or begun to melt.-Clean up is a breeze since the brush is dish washer safe. I'll let it soak in the sink until I load it in the dish washer. I have NOT had a time where it comes out of the washer with bits of "gunk" still in the bristles.- Long handle keeps your hands away from the heat so you don't char your knuckle hair or burn your hand.- However, handle is short enough for storage in a drawer or counter-top tool caddy.Overall, I would recommend this product for anyone looking for a cost effective, easy to use and clean grill brush.

After using this, you will know why you can't buy the cheaper alternative one. It is very durable and most importantly, it really does hold the sauce a lot. I have used other products which either shed like a dog or the sauce just runs through it. Not this one! Washes very well in the dishwasher as well. Win, win, thumbs up! By the way it is a pretty decent size - got a nice grip for men!

I bought three silicone grill brushes for my husband, and this one was the clear winner.One of the losing brushes had a very small brush head; it was impossible to get or hold a decent amount of oil, sauce, etc. The other losing brush was way too heavy for its size, and had an awkward, strange handle.This brush has an excellent brush head (holds a lot of sauce very well), a very comfortable handle (thanks, Good Grips!), and makes cleanup super easy (throw it in the dishwasher). This is a lot of brush for the money, and another great OXO product!

The brush works better than the old fashioned brush. I was very reluctant to try it, but it performed very well. It seems to put a more even coating on the food and doesn't waste as much at the same time. The angle on the handle is also nice because you can lay it on a flat surface without getting sauce on it.Really glad I gave it a shot.

I must say, I love this brush! It really does hold alot of sauce or marinades. The brush releases the sauce or marinade perfectly on whatever I'm grilling. I don't have to spend a lot of time or effort basting anymore! No more wasting sauce, making a huge mess and losing the sauce or marinade as I attempt to baste my food. Very easy to clean. I usually, put some hot water and a drop of soap in a bowl then swirl the brush in it until it's clean. I do this because I don't want to take a chance and mess up the bristles. Long handle makes it easy to baste on the grill without burning myself and the slight curve makes basting that much easier.

Excellent quality and sturdiness. I like the silicon brushes, and definitely the special middle section that helps retain product being spread. While a large handle, it is NOT as large as I was expecting for grilling purposes. So if you're needing to take some time basting over a hot grill, especially if a full grill, you'll potentially need to wear grilling gloves. Also a better design would have had a hole in the handle end to hang it with. The slight angle for keeping brushes from touching a surface is a good idea, but should have also had a hole for hanging on grill hooks. I could recommend, but do note a couple of the items mentioned to improve.

This is my third try at a silicone brush, and I finally have a winner. I have both sizes and the smaller is my favorite, but this is great for the grill. It holds on to a light basting sauce and thick BBQ sauce. It comes out of the dishwasher clean and stays flexible.

I had been using a silicone basting brush for years and decided it was time for a new one. The old one's bristles separated in one piece from the handle and I had to constantly push it back on. No more. Wow - why did I put up with that old one for so long? The length is perfect as are the bristles on the brush which holds sauce really well yet smooths it on to food very easily. Great basting brush.

Since I can't seem to find a good bristle brush anymore, I had high hopes for this brush. I must say, it's a lot better than other silicone ones that I have tried. If all you've used is a bristle brush, this will take a bit of getting used to, but so far I am happy with it. We use it at the bbq. I have not tried it for pastry. A big plus is that you can lay it down and because the head of the brush has a slight angle to it, the saucy bristles don't leave a mess on the counter/bbq. Also no more loose bristles stuck in the cooked food!

I think these are marvelous as I had ordered 2 of them for use, inside when cooking and outside on the BBQ grill that I have. They hold the oil really well, they are heat resistance so that the parts of the brush don't melt, drop off, or cause a problem while cooking, if you do a lot of BBQ food like I do, then think of using this as some of the other brushes I have tried end up melting or falling apart too easily. These brushes are wonderful and easy to clean also, I highly recommend them to anyone cooking.

Its good but expensive.It has a slight angle. I don't see how this help with anything but it make storage a bit awkward.

I owned this exact same baster before, and sadly it went missing. I bought a cheaper one and immediately regretted it. This one is so well made, works perfectly, and is a breeze to clean. It also has the highest heat rating of any I looked at, so it’s perfect for the bbq!

Toma en cuenta que es grande, si eres chaparrito o chaparrita como yo, quizá te sientas intimidad@ con el tamaño del mango y te sea difícil maniobrar con ella, sin embargo, su calidad es excelente, la goma es duradera y las fibras pintan perfectamente cualquier preparación sea con grasa, agua o leche. La volvería a comprar sin duda, de hecho, la volví a comprar, en ambos casos les mandé recortar la punta del mango con una sierra y me gustan mucho más.
