Fine except for the tension bolt/nut
It is what it is: a low-cost, manual treadmill, so don't expect high quality parts or all the bells and whistles. The reason for the 3 stars is because they provide allen wrenches for assembly, but one of the most important steps are two tiny little micro nuts that you need to use to create the tension on the track, and they don't give you any wrenches or tools to do this tightening. You can do some tightening by hand, of course, but it's in a really hard to reach and tight spot (so maybe hire out a toddler with tiny fingers to help you?). Without being able to adjust this more, there is no tension on the treadmill (so unless I'm holding on tight to the side bars, I would just fly off - it's like an overly greased hamster wheel). I ordered a micro wrench kit off Amzn specifically to try and fix this, so if you don't already have one, you may want to order one at the same time you order the treadmill.

One problem after another
The assembly took two weeks, primarily because the directions are wrong. The bolt (C) identified in Step 4 is listed as being for Step 5 on the parts identification sheet. Of course I had no way of knowing this so I ordered the part and the wrong part was sent. I reordered the part and received the correct one. When I received it I then realized I already had the part but it had been misidentified in the instructions. The diagrams are exploded with no separate detail drawings. In addition much of the print is too small. It's on an 8.5 by 11 inch sheet so there is no excuse for such small print. Luckily, I have a magnifying app on my phone so I was able to read the print but the lack of detail drawings still made it difficult going. There is no real explanation of how to correctly apply the lubricant so I found videos on You Tube. The seller instructions say to use a cloth to spread the lubricant but I found using my fingers with plastic gloves worked better.I am not yet able to get the computer to function. It is getting power as the screen lights up but again the instructions fail me. I have tried getting the computer to work from stop and in use and neither seems to work.I would have preferred the option of ordering the machine without the computer as I just want to walk about 20 minutes a day to substitute for the mall walking I used to do after work. I used to mall walk after work, which was on my way home. Since I retired I don't want to drive 8 miles to the mall to walk and I don't like walking outdoors. The machine itself is fine (if you don't care about having a usable computer, which I don't). It does what it's supposed to do, giving me walking and arm exercise, and does it well. It should not be such a hassle to get to the point where I have the machine now available for use. And the computer needs to be re-programmed or have specific detailed instructions on how to make it work. Even though I don't care about this function I am probably an exception.By the way, it isn't a matter of lack of handiness as I have always done my own work and am blessed with handyman skills.

Good if you're short and want some intense walking rather than distance walking
As other reviewers noted, the handles are quite low. I'm 5'4 and have to lean in a bit to completely hold the stationary handles, especially if I want the machine to read my pulse. The moving handles are higher, but it takes a bit of coordination to learn to use them.It it quite different from an electric machine because you use your leg muscles so much more to "push off" with every step. Again, as some other reviewers found, long before I burn many calories, my legs get tired. So instead I try to just push myself on it to use it more for interval training, because I think it will be awhile before I can go long distances on it. For reference, I would say my fitness is average; I'm not an athlete but I walk, maintain a large garden, lift light hand weights and practice yoga each twice a week.

Cheap materials and construction, it came without an essential part, still not resolved
I chose this treadmill over others that were lower priced because it had the ability to track distance. Unfortunately, my treadmill arrived without a plug on the end of the sensor wire that enables the computer to track mileage, speed, calories, etc, which meant I was unable to plug it into the connecting circuitry that would communicate with the computer. Naively, when I complained, I assumed that the company would send me a replacement for entire piece of equipment that the faulty sensor came already attached to so that I could use the original assembly instructions to swap out that piece for one that didn't have a missing plug. However, after sending several emails and images, I finally got a replacement part that was JUST the sensor wire (not the entire piece of equipment it comes attached to) and there were NO INSTRUCTIONS on how to properly install or replace it. I can't use the original instruction manual because it assumes that the sensor wire has come already installed on a larger piece of equipment, so the only instructions the original manual has pertaining to it are to plug it in. So, in the end, I paid about $100 more for this treadmill than another that seemed structurally equivalent because, unlike the other one I was looking, this one stated that it had the ability to track mileage and it was all wasted because mine came without an essential piece needed to complete the circuit in order to do that.Even if there wasn't the issue with the missing plug on the sensor wire, and the lack of instructions on how to properly replace the defective piece, overall, the treadmill is very cheaply made...So, you get what you pay for. The resistance on the belt isn't constant at any setting. Adjusting the resistance using the control knob seems to have no effect on this. The belt slips, regardless of what resistance it's set at, and this also does not seem to be affected by how much or little oil I use to lubricate the platform beneath it.
