Bought this as a last minute purchase after being asked to play in a slo-pitch game. Arrived on time, and was fairly easy (and quick) to break in. Quality seems great so far, and have played a full season with this glove. This is a great beginner or occasional glove!

Exactly what we needed. My husband wanted to start playing catch with my 2 sons in the backyard and around the corner at the field because my older son sounds like he might be interested in playing ball. We took a drive to Dicks sporting goods we went to the mitts and saw the prices I almost passed out right there in the isle. Gone are the days when you can just go shop in the store and run around to the field or go outside that day. They were starting at $99 and they didn't even have his size for that much. We aren't going into the major leagues here, we are just wanting to get started out and see how we do. Even then if he does end up playing, I'm not sure I want to spend that much on a mitt when these mitts are really nice. They are soft and broken in already and his hand actually fits in it, whereas the expensive ones at the store he couldn't even get his hand into it, who wants that aggrevation. "They won't last as long" who cares at this price I'll buy a new one every season who cares. Then we went to the bats I felt my blood pressure going up and up the more we kept walking around, $150-$200 for 1 bat. I looked on Amazon and Walmart, same rating and size bat $65-$80. Smh, you can't even have fun anymore and do anything without being stressed out your going to go poor getting your kid sports equipment. anyway all this to be said- these Franklin gloves are amazing. They are exactly what we were looking for at the exact price we were looking for them at. Just do some research regarding what size you need because 10,11,12,13,14 isn't the size of your hand it's the size of the length of the webbing. However my older son is a giant, so I had to buy a few different gloves in 3 different sizes because chat got said depending on how large and wide his hands are, a 12 or 12.5 may not do it and he may actually need a 13 for the size so that's to be seen, but I will probably end up keeping whatever one he don't end up using and just keep it for myself I can go play with them sometimes maybe. So it's fine. The bat I bought was a cheap $20 bat on here and it's perfect as well. Not too much, just a little something to get started. Happy with my purchases. I ended up purchasing 5 mitts, 1 bat, 1 tub of balls, 1 tub of soft practice balls all for under what 1 bat or 1.5 mitts would've costed me at dicks sporting goods.
