How much does it cost to run it (for electricity)?

Hello, I can not tell you exactly how much electricity this unit uses but I will say that we have had ours for over a year now and run it quite often, sometimes more than 24 hours straight, and we have not seen a measurable difference in our electric bill. Great unit. Best dehydrator we have ever used. Thanks and take care.

why is the white cheaper than the black?

Both models should be the same price. Advertising below $299.95 is a violation of the manufacturer's minimum advertised price policy and can result in penalties for the seller such as revoking their selling authorization as well as voiding the warranty for items sold while in violation.
