Loads of space
I bought four of these for a home media server. I've seen claims that enterprise drives can be noisy, but I can't hear any difference compared to the 2TB desktop drives I replaced. They've run for about a year now with no problems.

Peace of mind, just don't be near it!
Excellent enterprise quality hdd, noisy but thats to be expected. Worth the price especially given warranty. Recommended.

Dead on arrival
I purchased 2 of these 12TB Seagate Exos X16 hard drives for my Synology NAS., but both were dead on arrival. My Synology would not recognise one of them at all, and the other made a clicking noise on start up, but showed errors and would not initialise.

Dont bother
Bought 2, 1 was physuxally danaged the other manufactured in 2022.

Seagate is ok. It's Amazon that's rubbish.
Disk arrived in a box too big for it, with no buffer packaging inside. This box had a bash on one corner and had clearly been knocked about. The disk was Dead On Arrival. So no comment on Seagate. But F grade to Amazon for this delivery.

Disappointing grey market drives
Bought three drives which all had 50hrs+ and several SMART failures. Initially asked to ship at my cost back to Singapore. Complained to Amazon and eventually received refund.

Shipped from Amazon Germany. Delivered disk was faulty - will not mount on Windows or QNAP, and overheats. Disk supposedly new but date of manufacture on label is 2019. Reports as genuine Seagate. Part of current Seagate scandal? Have returned to Amazon for refund.

Questi sono dischi enterprise con il doppio di vita (inteso come scrittura in TB/anno) rispetto a tutti gli altri che troverete anche a prezzi più elevati. Verificate pure.... Come dischi enterprise sono da data Center per cui il rumore non è un problema anche se elevato. Chiaro da non mettere vicino al televisore in sala per guardare un film. Ma per i dati importanti vanno più che bene. Il pacchetto del venditore era perfetto a 3 strati, quello esterno era bagnato, ma non è successo nulla grazie all'impacchettamento, voto 10 al venditore.
