Tamiya Super Stock Motor Tz

The media could not be loaded. The Tamiya TZ motor is a great brushed motor that has the option to replace the brushes as they wear out! Definitely see increased performance over a stock motor!

I’ve been in to Tamiya RC for 30 years. I know what works and what doesn’t. I purchased this and it’s sister “BZ TZ” one for a nova fox one for hotshot 2. It’s so fast the nova fox will pull the front end up. Larger pinions in both kits. Very very quick. No LIPO nothing cool. Just NIMH 7.2 and go. Very happy

I like the artwork on the decal of the motors. Like these for my tamiya builds.

At first look, this little motor seems very well made. Can is nicely vented and appears well made, magnets appear to be very strong, brush hoods are nice and screws have heat sinks, anodized end bell support and looks like you can even adjust the timing as well as rebuildable. My only complaint is, why would you go through all this detail, and just use bronze bushings on the armature? Haven't actually used it yet so we'll see, might be an update!

Excellent motors

Very good motor way faster than my stock tamiya torque tuned motor, i ran it with my 26t pinion works fine it doesn't get that hot compared to my stock motor too

This is a great replacement motor for your r/c vehicle, just be sure your ESC is compatible. This motor is typical Tamiya quality, lots of torque and greater speed for a brushed motor, I would suggest that you run higher capacity batteries also to get the most out of your upgrade.

Motor looks & runs fine... However, the seller resold the motor after someone returned it.. In other words, it was used, lots of carbon build up and the pc board (capacitor board) was missing... The motor still runs goodso I kept it. It is now in my Tamiya Blockhead Motors Wild One Off-Roader...

It's "only" a 23 turn motor, but don't let that fool you!I've run numerous faster brushed motors before, and this really impressed me. It won't rev as fast as hotter winds, but it makes a great amount of torque. Put a bigger pinion gear on and enjoy surprising several brushless owners!I'm getting another

Der Super Stock TZ liefert einen ganz erheblichen Leistungssprung, wenn man den günstigen und ausgewogenen Tamiya Torque Tuned Motor damit ersetzt und er deklassiert auch den Sport Tuned-Motor deutlich.Das hat allerdings auch seinen Preis. Billig ist der Motor nicht und dabei natürlich immer noch ein Brushed-Modell.Was allerdings auch seine Vorteile hat. So macht sich der Super Stock TZ hervorragend in den DT-03 Modellen Neo Fighter und Racing Fighter von Tamiya. Die aktuell mit diesen Bausätzen ausgelieferten Fahrtenregler kommen nominell mit Motoren bis zum Sport Tuned klar - aber auch die Sport Tuned Motoren verkraften sie.Eine Überhitzungs- / Notabschaltung des Reglers kann man zwar schon erleben - aber nach meiner Erfahrung nur, wenn man bei heißen Temperaturen permanent Vollgas gibt und dauernd rabiat bremst. Am besten in Staubwolken vom Donut-Fahren.Das ist vernachlässigbar und macht den Super Stock TZ (wie auch den etwas schnelleren Super Stock RZ, der dafür beim Beschleunigen dem TZ unterlegen ist) trotz seines hohen Preises zu einer tollen Alternative für alle, die nicht gleich auf Brushless und Lipo-Akku umsteigen wollen um hohe Performanz zu erleben.Der Motor macht zudem richtig Laune! Beim Tamiya DT-03 Neo Fighter (oder Racing Fighter) sollte man höchstens darauf achten, ein Stahlritzel zu verbauen und sein Modell kugelzulagern. Auch Radmitnehmer aus Metall sind kein Fehler, wie ich festgestellt habe.Das ist alles in allem deutlich günstiger als ein Brushless-System mit ähnlichen Leistungswerten. Zumal der Super Stock TZ auch mit herkömmlichen NiMH-Akku eine richtig starke Leistung auf den Asphalt bringt.Billig ist der Motor nicht und ich habe viel hin und her überlegt. Am Ende allerdings habe ich den Kauf zu keinem Zeitpunkt bereut.Schwächen? Keine. Sieht man mal davon ab, dass es ein Brushed-Motor ist.Spaßfaktor? Oh ja!5 Sterne
