I have never used anything but vanilla extract before- but was inspired to buy this based on a cookbook I recently have been working my way through. I have to say, the scent and color and general richness has been a pleasant shift in some of our recipes and I am pleased to have tried it. I am not sure I will use it for everything or every recipe- but it certainly is different enough and rich enough to be worth the try!

Unfortunately, I would be happy to eat this with a spoon but I don’t think that so you’re meant to do it. So as an extra, it’s a little weak as a paste it’s really good, but you have to pretty much double lip to get a vanilla out of it.

Sweet and aromatic

This product did not arrive properly sealed. It lacks a seal over the jar itself under the lid or a plastic seal around the lid, allowing for a tablespoon or two to leak out during transport. Very sticky arrival. It wasn't cheap - so the loss of this much of it --- not happy.But, the taste is good. I mixed it into a batch of yogurt and am pleased with the taste. But, because of their insufficient packaging, I won't be purchasing it again.

Vanille Extrakt smells good and works great when baking.
