VOSTOK | Men’s Komandirskie Tank Commander Russian Mechanical Military Watch | 306 Series

I'll keep this review nice and sweet. What I like: - It's a very nice size for my smaller wrists. This may bug people who don't really like small watches and especially people with large wrists. - Lightweight piece because it's made out of painted brass. Again this may bother some who like a little bit of heft on their wrists. - Love the red star and tank design on the dial plus all of the Cyrillic writing. Really gives off the feeling like it's an exotic piece. - Hand-wind. I can totally understand why many dislike this but I personally love it. I think this quirk of the watch adds to the appeal of the design's original purpose as a field watch for Soviet era commanders. Plus it is a nice addition to the morning routine. - domed crystal. very very charming. - pretty accurate. I've seen a lot of reviews that say the ones they've gotten become inaccurate fast but I've had mine for a week now and it's keep excellent time. Dislike/kind of annoying: - While the crown is very unique, it is a little difficult to operate. No quick date function, so you have to wind all the way around or back and forth from the 10 and 2 positions. - the black leather strap it comes with is nice in that it is rough and I'm sure it will last a while, however it's not too comfortable nor very stylish. - while the design of the dial is charming, it does give off the appearance of being cheaply made. - you can definitely hear it tick away. In conclusion, I think you're getting this watch not for any special feature or movement but for it's history and uniqueness. I would highly recommend this watch for any enthusiast or collector. Very nice old school watch. Manual winding. Keeps perfect time. Rugged but do not get it wet. I purchased an aftermarket bezel that accents the watch perfectly. If you want a traditional military watch then Vostok is a great choice.

Mecanisno no sirve

Well, really, I should have known. The Russians have never really been known for building precision instruments. This watch failed in the first three days or so of ownership. I was severely bummed as it had drawn a lot of attention and comments in the two days I managed to wear it. Very cool, but the hands just stopped moving and the winding mechanism was trashed as well. DOA. Sent it back and ordered two more (those take MONTHS to get here so I won't have an update for a bit).... Well, a little while after I posted this review, VOSTOK informed me that my order had been refunded. They said it had been held up at "Russian Customs" without an explanation. Seems a little coincidental. On top of that, they said these watches were available on Amazon now. When I checked, I found that they are now priced at $150 instead of $99. Truthfully, the whole thing stinks a bit. I waited months for this and now....

Throw away the strap and add a nice zulu or nato to it, and you have yourself a very functional beater watch. Don't be fooled: the dial on this is looks like cheap cardboard. Do not expect some dark-horse high-end Orient Bambino or Seiko 5 killer. This is a mechanical watch made to have fun with, and enjoy owning for what it is: A very cheap, die-hard, tool with a nice story and well-deserved cult following. Would highly recommend this as a watch for your son if you want to get him into mechanical watches.

The watch is nice I got it for work nothing crazy but the band sucks the Buckle is super cheap I think it’s made from tin foil, if you want this watch plan on buying a different band!

The watch keeps good time but needs to be wound every two days.

This is another fine offering from Vostok! The titanium finish is really nice looking. This is my 5th Vostok watch and out of all of them this one feels the best on my wrist size wise. I added my own seat belt nato watch strap and the combination looks really nice. As far as the function of the watch it runs a tad fast but nothing to extreme. I added a picture showing size comparison between the K35 , amphibia ,and a vintage komandirskie that I have. All in all I believe you will appreciate this watch.

este reloj es mas la fama que tienen, por eso lo compre, el precio para u reloj automatico es de risa, funciona bien, para lo que cuesta, no es para presumir, pero cumple su funcion de dar la hora.

Pleasantly surprised at the quality of the watch finish, need to wear it daily or wind it for keeping the time running, but if it’s your daily wear, works well. Recommend to add to any enthusiast to add to their collection, not the most accurate, but at this price point, it’s pretty cool.
