Question 1

Are the bottle and filter TSA approved?

Accepted Answer

Thanks for your question! Brita bottles are a great way to reduce plastic bottle waste while traveling. For a smooth departure, make sure your bottle is empty when going through the TSA checkpoint. After takeoff, be aware that pressure changes in the cabin may lead to a little water splashing out when you open the cap. You can easily avoid this by first releasing the pressure: Slightly unscrew and then re-screw the cap before drinking, and you’ll be all set. Happy travels! Question 2

Does anyone’s straws get black from the charcoal? I’m talking about the part you drink from. I can not seem to get mine clean! It’s so frustrating.

Accepted Answer

Hello, yes I’ve been having a Brita Bottle since March 2021 & the best thing to do is unscrew the top part from the bottle, take the tube off & get a Cotten swab ( that you use for your ear ) & stick it inside the mouth piece & clean around the edges that these black like thing is at, repeat the process till it’s gone & rinse it with warm water & then boom, your mouth piece is back to normal.

If there is still some odd stains or something, it’s best to buy a brand new one & always make sure to clean it with a napkin every few days ( the mouth piece ) & don’t be afraid to change the filter, the filters here on Amazon are only $9.99 for a pack of 3. I finished a filter in a month, because of how much water I drink. (9/25/2021) at 5:15 Am., Central Time)

Question 3

What does it filter? what is class vi? what would a ppm meter read between?

Accepted Answer

Thanks for asking! The Water Bottle Replacement filter for our Premium Filtering Water Bottle reduces Chlorine and Class VI Particulates. Class VI particulates are particulates (debris such as rust, dirt, sand, sediment that can make your water appear cloudy and cause a bad smell and taste) that are greater than 50 microns in size. We hope you find this information to be helpful. Should you have any further questions, you may contact our team at 800-242-7482 and mention this reference number: 190214-000609.
