How close is this to tasting like regular whole cow's milk? I am looking for a shelf-stable milk type product to use in savory/sweet recipes.

Not to worry. I had the same problem, looking for something to replace regular milk, by trying almond, soy, or whatever. Nothing tasted like milk. What I didn't realize is that regular milk is available as a shelf-stable item, so that you don't have to try to use a substitute. There ain't nothing like the real thing, baby.....

It says it is dairy free, but what about the d next to the kosher u symbol? that stands for dairy! does anyone have an input about it?
