Creating Stylized Animals: How to design compelling real and imaginary animal characters

This book is just amazing. Full of challenges and advice. For the serious, the starter and those who just want to have fun with their art, it's a great book to have. I think being able to draw 'funny' is either second nature, or hard work. This book takes the elbow grease out of it. Illustrators, animators, designers, professional or amateur, put it on your book shelf.

This is a great book, hence the four stars. Interesting, thought provoking, informative, attractive. But why the tiny print? Not just small, but minuscule to the extent that I’m having to use a magnifying glass to avoid eye strain. Surely being accessible to readers is part of the “design” for a book and should be considered. It’s so annoying, especially when there’s plenty of space on the page for a larger font size. I REALLY WANT TO READ THIS BOOK BUT AM STRUGGLING TO SEE THE PRINT.

This book is comprehensive in covering character design. Other books are about how to draw the artists version of a character. This one covers the elements of character design and how to use them to design an effective character that portrays the personality of the character while maintaining the distinct characteristics of the animal species.

This book has excellent information on how you can create different animal-based characters and make them unique.

If you already own one of this books avoid getting the rest. Basically are repeating exactly the same in every one.
