is this real tarte brand or a replica or the product?

This is most definitely a knock-off! Allow me to present the facts. Tarte is a high-end cosmetics company that relies heavily upon their reputation and branding. Regardless of the sales channel, Tarte's packaging is consistent. A company selling less than two ounces of oil for almost $50 is going to make dog gone sure their customers know their purchasing the real deal. Not too mention, marketing 101 is consistency in retail packaging. Tarte is obviously aware of this because when I see this oil in any reputable store it always, always, always looks exactly the same. The product for sale on this page is a cheap imitation and horrible attempt to replicate Tarte's top of the line presentation. First, genuine Tarte Maracuja Oil shows black,etched flowers on the majority of the bottle. Second' genuine Tarte Maracuja Oil bottles have a wooden twist off cap with a small metal "nipple" on top that is golden in color. Third, Tarte does not produce a 0.23 ounce bottle. They do have a small sample bottle, but product weight is 0.24 ounces. Fourth, this product has a strange, pungent smell. Fifth, I have never used the word "crusting" and Tarte in the same sentence. A facial oil that 99.9% of customers describe as silky and luxurious does not "crust." Period! Now, for the kick in the teeth. How, you ask, do I know all of this information? A lady never gives away her sources of information. You don't have to rely solely on the trust of q stranger. Mosey on over to Tarte's website and compare their packaging to the packaging show here. Need more proof? Visit any other reputable retailer that carries the Tarte line and verify the packaging consistency with that of the Tarte website. Now, I will let you, the buyer, decide if spending $10 of your hard earned money is worth a knock-off product. Don't worry... I pass no judgement. :)

is the dropper stick that goes inside the oil supposed to be lose? and when i push on the dropper to get oil it kinda gets stuck. wondering if there a

I'm not sure what your issue is exactly, but my dropper is a tad wobbly. I handle it gingerly, but have had no real problems.

Mine came with no plastic seal/tape to ensure original packaging and it smells different, how do I know it’s not altered?

Mine never had a seal on it i didnt have a problem with the quality it worked really well

Does it come with the tarte box ?

I guess it depends on who is selling it. Mine came nicely wrapped in the box. If the box is important I wouks contact the seller. Hope this helps.
