This part was used on a 2008 Ford Taurus-X. I included a picture of the inside door pannel. You need some patience and finesse to make your way to the door lock actuator located at the very right on this picture (not visible). The job was made easier with the help of an Official Ford Shop Manual. These parts are usually lasting a couple of years on this car. They will eventually ALL fail. The first part that was bought on Amazon didn’t work… I had to get a replacement part locally. Amazon gave me a full refund and fully standed behind their product. Now the locally bought door lock actuator is working fine and doing it’s job properly. Figure approximately 60 minutes of work on each door lock actuator. Take pictures along the way and DONT force any plastic parts.

Works very well on my 2000 Ford F-350. My door locks would only pulse a bit when I hit the buttons on my remote or the door lock switch. They were very weak. ALL Fords do this. It helps keep the dealers highly profitable. The power mirror and window switches are the same. Pure profit.At first, I thought these were the wrong parts, but they are just not the same shape as the originals. They installed just fine. I watched a couple of U-Tube videos to get an idea on how to install them. The first door took the same amount of time as the last 3 doors combined due to the learning curve. Once you figure it out, they are not difficult at all. I found it easier to stick the old unit and latch out the exterior door handle hole, instead of trying to pull it into the inside of the door. It was much faster. A much better alternative than a wopping bill from the Ford dealer. The 746-148 (driver) side and 746-149 passenger) side. Front and back door locks are the same on each side.Do yourself a favor. ALL Ford actuators go bad. Replace all of them, or do the job twice (or more).

Good fast delivery and worked very well

These lock actuators are great. I used it to replace the lock actuator on my 2000 Ford F150 passenger side door. Installation of the actuator itself was simple, getting it mounted into place was difficult. The overall installation was moderately difficult and should not be attempted unless you are comfortable with disassembly of your door locks, handles, and window guides.Once installed these operated flawlessly. They are much quieter than the door locks I'm used to hearing. They operate solidly and have a good quality heft and feel to them. All in all a great product. I've had mine installed for about two months now and have not had any issues.
