Which side of insole should face outside of shoe?

I’ve always put the dark side up and it works great for me. And will add you made a good choice buying these. I’ve been using these for years and I am in love with them.

How long do they last?

IDK how long they last YET... because I have had mine for well over a year now... and they STILL work WONderfully! I will have to let you know how long they last, AFTER they stop working. *wink

is there a way to cut off insoles to fit without having the outer layer loose and the foam exposed?

I have cut mine down and although the foam is exposed I have not had problems with the outer layer becoming loose. They are very comfortable...

Are these too thick to be worn under dr scholls insoles?
