Perfect size, very versatile
I had a 4-cubby shelf (see photos) that I used to have in the bedroom, that came with fabric bins in it. We no longer needed it in the bedroom so I took the fabric bins out to use for other storage, and I moved the empty stand into the living room to use as a wine rack. To keep the bottles secure, I specifically needed wine rack *inserts* to fit inside the cubbies. But every standard/wooden insert I found was always too big, usually meant for a countertop (and relatively pricey). When I saw these Houdini ones were only 8x8 I was ecstatic! I knew they would fit perfectly. And it's just the two of us (me and my hubby) so we don't need to hold outrageous amounts of wine. The extra rubber snap-ons are for connecting multiple racks together, but I instead just snapped them onto the bottom to give it some grip and also keep it from scratching the wood. One thing to note is, bc these racks are so lightweight, it can be unstable if you remove wine bottle(s) from the bottom row and leave just ONE bottle on the top by itself (bc now it's top-heavy AND off-balance). So just make sure if you only have 1 bottle left, to move it to the bottom row. Other than that, works like a charm.Purchasing an actual wine rack would have cost a lot more than $20 (for 2 of these), and I also would have been wasting a perfectly good piece of old furniture. These little Houdini expandable wine racks were the perfect solution to turning a useless piece of furniture that is in excellent condition, into our new favorite piece! :)

Great wine rack!
We had an unusual size space above our frig that we wanted to convert into a wine storage area, but was at a loss as to how and what to use. Found these racks at a store in LA and bought one to see if it would work and wala! It worked so well I ordered two more and snappped the three together for all our wine storage needs! Love the easy use and the ability to build in whatever configuration you might need. Plus, I can easliy remove and clean the area! They give our wine storage area a clean contemporary look without overpowering the area as some wine racks can. A great designed product! Have to mention they hold the smaller bottle size and not the larger wine bottles, but they work great for our needs and highly recommend them!

Utilitarian Rack for a Good Price
I have a tiny kitchen, so I was looking for a wine rack that could fit my small space AND properly store my wine. This rack fit the bill nicely.PROS:-really easy to assemble. No assembly required, actually. You basically just unfold it like an accordion.-it comes with brackets in case you choose to buy more than one rack and put them together.-no need to drill into your cabinets for mounting and storing your wine.-there are little, silicone "bars" in the middle of the rack so the wine is held securely and doesn't slide around.-it fits the bottles really nicely. No fighting with the rack to insert or remove your wine.CONS:-the main drawback of this rack is its sturdiness. It isn't "chincy" by any means and I was never afraid the rack was going to fall over, but if you only have one bottle of wine and you put it in the top portion of the rack, the rack will lean to one side.-since the rack is to light, if there's no wine in it, it slides really easily (again, no cabinet mounting required). So, just be careful putting that first bottle into this rack.-on the matter of looks, this rack is very utilitarian. If you're looking for a display rack or something pretty, this is most likely not the solution for you.Overall, this is a great rack for the money, and given the choice, I would make this purchase again. It fit all my needs, and I feel safe storing my wine in this cute, little rack.

Perfect even for non-round bottles best Gizmo ever
This thing is brilliant! Don't worry about it being too tall or anything, the way it sets up makes it perfectly acceptable to make it taller or shorter. Fits pretty much anything in it that isn't abnormally large, even square bottles. Wish in had gotten the 3x3 model, it's so compact. I was worried i wouldn't have the space but that's really no concern at all. It's very sturdy and stable and if you need to pack it away it's about the size of a composition journal. Makes it easy to store things that are too tall in my cabinet above the microwave.

Does not fit big bottles, otherwise fine.
I chose this wine rack due to space constraints. I have not stacked them, so I don't know how that works, but they seem to be what I expected. The construction is good enough and it fits small wine bottles. I have it in an out of the way place, so I am not bumping in to it (that was a concern for earlier reviews with the wine bottles falling out if you bump into it). It is not made of titanium, so it is somewhat flimsy seeming, but again, did the job for me. I don't know that I would use it for display.

Perfect rack for a tiny space.
This wine rack isn't anything fancy, but for the small space that I have, it fits perfectly. It is sturdier than it looks - easily hold the 4 bottles I have in it. Also, I have it on a wire rack, so I used the extra rubber connectors to secure it in place.Very happy with the quality and price.

Piece of rubbish
I purchased this a couple years ago - excited by the expandable nature and easy collapsability in case I didn't have any wine to store in my small apartment.Since then, I've struggled to use it, and finally tossed it after about 18 months when it kept collapsing at the most inopportune times. It barely functioned to hold the bottles of wine as touted, and I found it hard to bother with something so small just to hold a few bottles. The counter ended up doing a better job.The clips to hook it to other units kept falling off, and the clips to hold the pieces together kept falling off too. Piece of junk not worth $12 - in this case, you don't even get what you pay for.

not for making larger racks
Hard to put bottles in, cannot be connected to make a very stable or well fitting matrix. As wine bottles are added, wires compress and make bottle insertion or removal difficult. Little rubber joiners keep coming loose or falling off.
