No table assembly instructions

I did a lot of research on this machine before purchasing. I had recently bought a big leather sewing machine and know that shipping is always freight shipping and very expensive. This skiver is similar in that all the major brand names charge quite a bit for freight shipping which would be over $400 for me. This consew machine is the same machine as all the others and it had free shipping. I thought that there had to be a hidden cost but there was not. The only real difference is you have to put the table together. It took a little bit to put it together but is is well made and had all the parts except for the light. When the seller realized it hadn’t shipped with original order they shipped the light separately. What a great experience I had with the entire transaction.

The machine after assembly is great. I only deducted a star due to the lack of information on how to assemble. The assembly instructions with mine were for a sewing machine. There are a few good videos on YouTube to help with assembly and setup.

Took me alittle longer to get setup and going with out instructions, first time running it the feed wheel fell off the drive shaft, so I had to get that back tightened and adjusted, the pin that holds the shoe was bent and hard to take out the machine, it performed poorly until I did some modifications to keep the leather off the feed wheel, I was expecting some what quality coming from a brand like consew but I don't see much difference than the cheaper China ones on here.

Fast shipping works great! No instructions but that was expected. Was missing the light, but one message to the seller and it was immediately sent out! Good experience overall

Received the Consew Skiver. It came with zero assembly instructions for the table or the skiver. It did not come with any operation manual either. Fortunately, I have a stitching machine and table so pretty much knew how the table went together. The table did not come with threaded screw holes to mount the Skiver's hinges onto, so I had to buy bolts and nuts and drill holes in the table to mount the machine. I called Consew for an operators manual and was told to just look on YouTube. I did find videos for similar machines but not Consew. All in all not very happy with the out of the box experience. If you're in the market for a skiver, look elsewhere.

Opened a whole new world for my leather projects (garments and bags). Thick seams just don’t look great. Now I’m able to use ALL the leathers I have. Been waiting for this for a jacket project and ready to get started. Hubby can build anything and with the video, he got it together. I find the machine very easy to use though I did change the feed roller to a rubber one since I generally work with upholstery and garment weight leathers. Does a beautiful job of skiving those softer things. I couldn’t get it done any other way.Edit: deducting one star because I did not get the LED lamp it says comes with the package.
