EVOTECH SCIENTIFIC Human Adult Skull Anatomical Model, Medical Quality, Life Size (9" Height) - 3 Part - Removable Skull Cap - Shows Most Major Foramen, Fossa, and Canals - for Medical Student

I bought this for three reasons: 1. To use as a mold for inexpensive Halloween milk jug skulls 2. For sculpting reference 3. As a Halloween prop in its own right I have yet to try the first, but I'll update this when I have. The size should be great for making realistic, believable copies. As for the other reasons: the construction is much better than I was expecting and the detail is fantastic, though probably not enough for medical school. It is not perfectly symmetrical and I wouldn't be surprised if it was produced from a mold of a real skull. The product information says it's PVC and it does appear to be so. It's nice and heavy, very sturdy in most places. Even small protuberances are solid and do not flex. There was a bit of flashing (extra plastic from the mold/casting) in some of the deeper narrow recesses, like near the optic nerve. This is understandable and very easy to remove with a small utility knife. As others have mentioned, the teeth are made of a different material which is a nice touch. Unfortunately, the spring came undone after I exerted a little too much force on one end, causing the jaw to no longer stay in position. That said the spring is a bit stiff to start out but loosens up slightly with use though I'm considering installing a slightly more giving replacement. Fortunately nothing broke and I was able to easily fix it, but this also revealed another gem: what at first appeared to be a supernumerary molar. Upon further investigation (counting) It seems this is just an impacted molar, but nevertheless interesting. The skull cap can be opened with a little finessing, taking care to lift it vertically as to not break the slip-fit tabs. Once the tabs are in their mounting holes, the magnets - though small - do nice job of keeping it attached. Overall I'm really pleased with this. I would say if you don't need it for medical study, this is the lowest price I could get for such a good quality. I did scour overseas apps like another commenter suggested and I wasn't able to find anything remotely close to this size and quality, let alone for the $15 mentioned.

Wow, this is just really cool. I was impressed as soon as I opened it. It has decent weight to it and actually looks like the real human skull we had in anatomy class. I wanted to use it as a Halloween decoration on my porch but now I don't think I want to put it outside. Very realistic, I'm afraid someone will steal it. Not expensive for how it looks but I don't want to have to replace it either. It arrived well protected, wrapped and boxed which I appreciated. Would recommend.

Obsessed. I work for an Oral & Maxillofacial surgeon and we use this same model to explain concepts to patients daily, so I bought one for myself as both a study tool (dental student) and as a model for my artwork, and it’s excellent. High quality, good color, life size, the opening of the cranium and/or mandible are very well made and strong, I have no worries of it breaking. It can serve as a fun & creative conversation piece as decor in my house when not in use. Overall great value for the money, definitely worth it if you’re a fellow nerd! :)

Very hard to beat for the price. Much higher quality than the old "Bucky" and similar style skulls. Great teeth. Perhaps a little on the small side, but it's nithing shicking. The cut line is not level by any means but it doesn't take away from anything. Details inside the eye sockets could be better, but at that cost it's really just fine. Excellent for customization. These will look equally great in a classroom or on an oddities shelf. I believe that these are the absolute best budget options readily available right now.

Anatomically accurate and a very fine product. I use it with my students all the time for comparative morphology with other higher primates (chimps and gorillas).

The product is very detailed, with the proper size making it more realistic. The weight is not as heavy as I expected, but it's not very light, but it is quite sturdy. For function, the jaw's movement is great, it is a struggle at first to move or remove it, but it has gotten easier over time. Removing the skull's cap is the same, difficult at first, but easier over time. It's been great use as a reference for art study, and prop making. Not only do I use it, but my family as well for school-related things. For the price I paid, it is, personally, one of the best purchases I made.

I needed this for my figure drawing class! Life sized and exactly what i needed. It was really cool to see the wisdom teeth on the inside of the mouth as well! Would be really cool for a classroom, Halloween event or now that i no longer need it for class, Headphone holder.
