My dog loves yak chews. Bought this for the first time and must have came fractured. Gave it to my pup to then find it in about 6 different pieces. Sharp edges and an absolute choking hazard. Disgusting tbh. Could have easily killed her if I wasn’t supervising. Definitely would not recommend. Would give it 0 stars if I could.

Great chew overall and Theo loves them! Although item came broken. Theo loves these chews, I decided to keep the chew as we needed something for Theo to chew on. Great chew but choking hazard when it arrived broken. We order yak chews often online and never have received a broken one via Amazon before.

My Golden Doodle loves to gnaw on a bone and he’s previously enjoyed hard cheese chews. But after less than a minute I had to take this one away from him, as it easily broke into sharp little shards, which I thought could have seriously hurt or choked him. Definitely would not recommend.

It was like a stick of rock not normal texture of what it normally is like in the past, wouldn't buy this make again, I'll stick to the yak make, very disappointed for nearly £9 total waste of money 😩

I am so glad I found this product without worrying about shredding issues. My 8 mo old aust. shepherd is an aggressive chewer and this product works for him. I buy him the Large size even though he is 45 lbs. I time his chewing on it, this way he doesn't over do it. One large yaky chew can last him about 2-5 days based on a 15-20 minute a day chew time. He loves the taste, and once he has it a "knub size", I puff it in the microwave and he finishes it off. No digestive issues. My older aust. shepherd loves them also, but she will demolish them off in one sitting.... :{

I have a little (maybe 16 lb.) rat terrier that loves it. When he first gets it, he keeps it in his mouth for about a good hour just walking around trying to find a place to hide it lol. He is a chewer but only on this. I have to get him the largest one even for his little size because it would only last maybe an hour tops if I got one for his size. This one will last him about 2 weeks because it's bigger and he has to hold it and gnaw on it from the top. The last little bit i cook in the microwave and this is the good stuff for him. He goes nuts when he smells it cooking. just cook it for 30 seconds at a time.

Update...As soon as I wrote my review, I went back to buy more and sadly found that the price went from $2.50 to $8!!! Now it's gone down to $3.50 but still....I hate how inconsistent Amazon listings are. Original review.... I've purchased Himalayan cheese chews a few times from different places but these are by far the best price!! They are quite large and are the quality expected. I ordered two, one for each pup (3 year old Boston Terrier and 7 month old English Bulldog) and both are happy. They didn't arrive broken or weird colors. Both dogs like them but dont stay fixated on them for more than 5-10 minutes at a time. I will definitely repurchase!!

I recently tried the Himalayan Yaky Cheese Chew for my dog, and overall, it was a positive experience. My dog absolutely loved it, and that's a big win in my book. The packaging also deserves a thumbs up because it kept the product fresh, which is crucial for maintaining its quality. However, I did notice that the Himalayan Yaky Cheese Chew didn't last as long as other yak sticks I've tried in the past. Typically, a yak stick lasts my dog a week or two, but this one was gone in less than a week. While my dog enjoyed it, the shorter lifespan of the product means it might not be the most cost-effective option for long-term chewing.

I have been struggling to find my 10 month old toy poodle a treat that was healthy, safe for him to chew on, and above all - long lasting! He usually bites through treats as quickly as he can, and gulps down the pieces even if they're not bite-sized. (The last treat I tried giving him was a bully stick and he bit it in 2 pieces and swallowed whole. I was mortified!) He never chews anything, and so rather risking him swallowing something that's too big or jagged for his little throat, I gave up and resorted to giving him Nylabones. However, I am not a fan of him chewing on plastic. I would find little pieces of plastic everywhere on the floor, in his bed, and in his hair. After watching him use his front paws and teeth to pull off shards of plastic to eat, I knew I needed a change of treat. Enter these yak chews! I was a little hesistant as I know these can be very hard, especially on a toy breed's teeth, but he hates brushing and nothing else I have tried has worked. I never wanted to give him antlers, bones, or rawhide, so when I heard of yak cheese chews and how they were cheese and hard but didn't splinter, I decided I would try these out. In the video I added, he's had this chew for 20 minutes. Other treats have never lasted more than 2!!! And he hasn't even made much of a dent in it yet, it still looks about the same as it came out the package as I type this review. I could definitely see these lasting him for days or hopefully even weeks (I bought 2). For the price, the convenience of giving him something to hold his attention, and how much he seems to enjoy chomping on them, I think this chew is a winner!
