Q: If you use an ef or ef-s lens, does the camera give a cropped image or do you get a full frame image?

I just got the RP and Dennis explains the EF-S limitations perfectly. Two notes to add: 1) The result of this cropping is that your image size with EF-S (APS-C) lenses will be only ~10.1 megapixels (less than a modern smartphone camera or the old 2003 Canon 10D!). 2) With my old 2009 Sigma "DC" mount lenses (Sigma's designation for EF-S/APS-C compatible lenses), the RP will not automatically choose "1.6x crop," so I have to do it manually (it's an option in the "image format/aspect-ratio" menu). Otherwise, I do get the black vignetting around the image.

Q: I have only 1 question. is the 4k cropped like on the m50?

Yes. All video is cropped to some extent because it is in a different aspect ratio. In addition, the 4K doesn't use the full width of the sensor. This is really more of a camera for stills shooters. The video is more of an extra feature.

Q: Reading from other sites the base model at this price is supposed to include the grip and the EF mount ring.. are these items included??

During pre-order the adapter and grip were for free, right know you need to pay them.
