Authentic Bosch 16123 O2 Sensor with laser-etched BOSCH logos & save $200 without the Mercedes Logo!
The BOSCH trademarks are laser etched on this authentic OEM Bosch 16123 Air Fuel Sensor OE QUALITY REPLACEMENT SENSOR; OE STYLE; CALIF sensor. This sensor was a perfect fit for the 2004 W163 2004 Mercedes ML350 Downstream. You don't need a special tool to remove O2 sensors. 22mm wrench is perfect. After properly testing fuses, relays, o2 sensor voltage, and fuel trim, only replace O2 sensors. Rather than spending $70 on o2 sensors, simply blow a $2 fuse. In the worst-case scenario, both blocked catalytic converters and good oxygen sensors are possible. Standard methods for assessing whether or not the catalytic converter is clogged include a vacuum gauge and back pressure testing. A catalytic converter that has become clogged or damaged cannot be fixed. You must replace catalytic converter $700 or your California Smoke Test will fail.Use the Nickel-Based Anti-Seize Lubricant with the sensors to ensure that the BoschO2 sensors can be readily removed during subsequent service. Inspect the oxygen sensor and fuel trim if your engine is over 60,000-100,000 miles old and exhibiting rough idling, loss of power, poor acceleration, engine misfires, or even stalling. Failure of oxygen sensors affects all important engine functions, including air-fuel ratio, combustion intervals, and engine timing.A healthy O2 sensor has a voltage range of 200 to 800 millivolts, or 2. to 8. volts on your meter. Your sensor has failed if the reading is fixed in one area or alternates erratically between high and low. The oxygen sensor compares the oxygen levels in the air to those in the exhaust. It transmits information to the engine computer, which modifies the air intake and fuel. The O2 sensor, like other auto parts, has a limited lifespan. It is normally between 30,000 and 100,000 miles, depending on the type of sensor. If your O2 sensors are malfunctioning, you will fail the California Smoke Inspection required to renew your license.
