Quite bright and dimmable lights
These seem to last really well and dim smoothly

and runs fairly cool. My only reservation is that the light quality ...
Quiet, emits just enough light to replace the 250W Halogen bulb I used to use in our up-lighter, resulting in a massive saving in energy usage and running costs for this light unit! Had to modify the up-lighter slightly to fit this bulb, as it is significantly bulkier than the halogen one!Dims well, is quiet, and runs fairly cool. My only reservation is that the light quality is not particularly warn (it is advertised as "cool") - but we have got used to that now, and on the plus side - this colour temperature is actually quite beneficial when reading!.......

NOT DIMMABLE
lights great in general apart from is flickers at certain points when dimmed. We managed to get it in a spot where it’s dimmed and not flickering .but we’d like it a bit brighter but that’s when it flickers

Good quality, but not 2700K
While the bulb has lasted over 3 years (and counting), the colour temperature is not the 2700K advertised. It is closer to 3000K. I have since replaced this bulb with a true 2700K equivalent from another brand. Giving 3 stars as it has otherwise been a good product and the colour temperature may not bother others are much.

Good replacement for a 300w halogen bulb, but bulb has failed within the warranty eriod
27 May 2017This is the second of these R7s bulbs I have bought. The first one was 3000k and would not dimmer in my floor lamp, so it got put into our security light. The design has changed and the fan removed from the bulb. This one is also 6000k instead of 3000k and I was surprised to find that it works in my dimmable floor lamp. Very pleased. It gives almost as bright a light as the halogen bulb, a better colour and it dims.UPDATE 1 SEPTEMBER 2018The bulb just stopped working. I am tryingto contact the seller as it is covered by 2 years warranty. Not had any response from the seller yet.

Very well made, very bright.
Used in a light box where they are a perfect solution.

They work well and are worth buying.
Good replacement for original halogen bulbs. Working well and are dimmable, plus save electricity. You can get cheaper bulbs but I found many of them didn't work.

So far not flickering or working a short life of 55 hours.
09/01/2024. I fitted this bulb to a John Lewis uplighter and so far it has worked with no flicker and it has replaced a 230W bulb which I was pretty reluctant to switch on due to the price of energy! Now at around 20w it feels cheap.4 stars because I had to buy 2.So far I'm very satisfied I will return to this review if it lets me down with an update.Ok so now the 20 Jan 24 and I have used this light for 5 hours or so per night on an intermediate setting and I've had it 11 days so that's a life of about 55 hours and it has stopped working. Luckily I had to buy that bulb I didn't want so I've fitted that. So far so good. I'll let you all know how that one lasts.
