Someone's review was cheap plastic. Seems sturdy enough to me. Tackle fits nicely. We'll see how it holds up. I do recommend it.

The hatch lid quality is ok. But the drawer box is made of thin flimsy plastic. Think fast food disposable plastic cup material. The weight of the tackle gear and the bouncing of the boat is sure to crack this thin plastic box. Bought two and I am really thinking twice about installing these. Once the box cracks I'll be left with two very big, useless holes in my boat.

I've owned 2 for a bit over ten years now and they are still working like new. They've been in two different Jon boat builds. I stand on them and have twisted the hatch latches the wrong way too many times to mention. They are quality semi dry tackle hatches. Yes, Semi Dry. You'll have to drill your own drainage holes in the top. I also drilled some drainage holes in the bottom of the box as well as a back up. I lost tackle to rust before I did this, but now a-days I use all waterproof 3700 tackle boxes so no biggie anymore. They were super easy to cut out and install on my DIY wood decks.
