great coffee maker
This is my second thermal carafe model as the old one finally died after about 11 years of problem free continuous use. I really like the new model as it can make 12 cups instead of the old 10 and the display and control buttons are large and easy to read. I also like the see through window on the side of the machine so you can more easily see how full the water reservoir is. The old model didn’t have that feature. Some of the other reviews mentioned a few complaints and I can address some of them so that you can operate the coffee maker without any negative issues. If the carafe lid is not screwed on fully it will dribble when pouring and make a mess. I also found it sometimes gets hard to tighten the lid fully which just adds to the problem, so I just rubbed a tiny bit of cooking oil on the tip of my finger around the rubber seal and it seals smoothly and perfectly every time- no more dribbling coffee while pouring. Another review mentioned you can’t pour out all the coffee out of the pot, but don’t worry: You never have to lose any coffee. When you are down to the last bit of coffee just unscrew the lid and pour every last drop into your cup and use that as an opportunity to rinse the pot- you'll need to rinse the pot anyway, and why dump perfectly good coffee into the sink? Also, make sure you rinse out the lid: if you don’t, coffee residue can build up inside. And although years ago I used to use the glass carafe to pour water into the coffee maker, the thermal carafe isn’t very efficient for filling the reservoir. I solved the problem by keeping a plastic pouring container by the coffee supplies in the cabinet to do it. It's easier that way rather than spilling. I hope this one lasts me another 11 years.

Hands down the best coffee maker in the price range.
I bought this to replace my original Cuisinart thermal coffee maker which finally died after some 20 years. This is the best coffee maker, hands down. The carafe keeps your coffee hot on its own... No burner means no burnt coffee and it stays hot for hours. This model has some really handy improvements over my old one , eg, the display is very big, bright and easy to read and the indicator lights are also bright, so it's much easier to notice when you forget to turn the timer on! I probably won't ever use the Bold flavor option, but it's nice to have. Btw I never use or replace the water filters and it's never been a problem. I also use regular basket filters as opposed to the pricy #2 filters and they work just fine.

Don’t waste your money
I should have paid better attention to the reviews. What a waste of money. I’d return this silly thing but I’ve already passed along my lovely Oster to someone else. Perhaps a 3 year old could reach inside the carafe to clean it, but not an adult. The carafe has to be, literally, turned upside down to pour out all the coffee. Seriously?! Unless I pour the coffee at a slow trickle, it pours out the sides of the spout onto the counter. The area in which to pour the water is so small and awkwardly placed that it’s bound to spill everywhere unless one had perfect hand-eye coordination at 6am. Stupid, stupid design flaws

Great & compact coffee maker!
Loving this Cuisinart. Great coffee, great settings, great window to accurately add water, carafe is slick design that you dont have to fiddle with buttons or paddles or anything else. A valve in then lid lets the coffee in as it brews, and cleverly opens only once you tip the carafe to pour. Does require patience though as the rate of pour is glacial and can sputter a little making a mess. But coffee remains hot for at least 3 hours if you preheat the carafe, and of course it's never burnt like a heat element might be. Water filters are easy to source and replace, and the permanent filter does a great job giving me all the flavors and oil without any of the grounds. As with any fine mesh you will get a bit of residue, but not bad at all. So glad I chose this model!

Black stainless 14 cup coffee maker
Review update March 26 2020:As previously stated this coffee maker is a solid unit. Not a single complaint. Easy to operate, fill, poor....highly recommend!!Review update:Very happy with coffee maker. Not a single complaint. Don’t pay attention to the negative reviews.Have only used a few times since being delivered a few days ago but have to say I’m very happy with the DCC-3200 in black stainless to match our kitchen. The front face is stainless with plastic stainless looking sides. Still a sharp looking machine thankfully bc it lives on the counter. Display is a crisp blue with a blue ring of light around the buttons when pressed. Low, medium or high setting for carafe. Only tried Medium so far which was still quite hot. Note-the carafe pours perfectly. I’m not sure why so many others have all these spilling issues while filling tank or cup. Not a single drop spilled period. Easy to fill large water tank. Again not difficult at all to fill considering all the other reviews that state it is. Using the supplied charcoal filter with metal basket. Very happy with unit so far. Will update review in time.
