I ordered the Wobble stool in December. I received it in a timely fashion but wasn't crazy about the packaging. Fortunately stool is very sturdy and arrived without any damage. I needed the stool for my small home art studio and I decided to wait until I had experienced using the stool for a little while before writing a review...In the past I used a elevated stool on wheels with an adjustable back. I always sat on the edge of my old stool with my feet on the floor so that I would be looking down at whatever I was working on. I never used the back of the stool. For the most part I was more in a standing position than actually sitting......Once I adjusted my Wobble Stool to the right height, which wasn't difficult at all, I found it to be just what I was looking for. Listening to music is also a major part of my art making process. I mentioned the music because I am constantly moving, rocking, swaying to the music. The Wobble Stool moves with me. In fact, it helps to strengthen my core as I create my art. I never sit for long periods of time but the time I am sitting on the Wobble Stool, I'm comfortable....I only use the stool when I'm creating. I have a regular chair in my studio for doing paperwork. I am very happy with my Wobble Stool, It's perfect for me.

The product arrives in parts. The pictures in the assembly instructions don't match the product exactly, which caused a little bit of confusion. My initial attempt to assemble it failed, and I was worried I'd have to send it back, but I persevered - it turns out it takes substantial force to get the pieces to lock together properly. The instructions say to bounce up and down on the seat to push them together, and they're not kidding. It took so much bouncing I was starting to suspect a manufacturing defect, but eventually it worked. You'll know when its locked together properly because pressing the buttons will cause the seat to lift immediately without much effort on your part. I do actually suspect a design flaw, as I have to press two buttons at once instead of just one as the instructions state, but it still works, so I'm not intending to return it. That's just as well, as disassembling it once assembled is not trivial. The column had some minor paint chips on it, again not enough to make me want to return it. Otherwise, the product is as advertised. I'm using it with my sit-stand desk, and so far I'm happy. I know some have complained about there not being enough padding on the edge, but I think that's probably just due to the way they're sitting on it. I think if you keep moving around enough it's fine. The seat is designed to keep you moving.

I wasn't sure about this stool at first. I have a bad back and needed to get a work station that allowed me to sit and stand, depending on what my back would tolerate. This stool seemed to work for that, as well as to help strengthen my core (which my PT said I needed.) I have had the stool for a few weeks now and I have to say it is awesome! You can easily adjust it for either a standing desk height or a normal sitting desk height. I originally had felt the poor circulation if I sat too long on the stool. What you need to know is this stool is NOT for sitting, its for leaning. The review that helped me was to understand just your gluteus maximus should be on the edge of the stool, not in the center. The base would be slanted (maybe 8-12" behind your rear). Then, no numbness. This allows you to also stand up in front of the stool without having to move it (so you can judge the proper distance.) Also, I can actually feel the soreness of my muscles on my sides as they are being 'worked' while balancing myself on the stool.
