Cook's Country Cook It in Cast Iron: Kitchen-Tested Recipes for the One Pan That Does It All : Cook's Country: desertcart.ae: Books Review: I like this one better than the Lodge's Best 140 recipe book. This has some "exotic" recipes with non-traditional ingredients but way more simple, traditional, comfort food that one would expect to cook in a cast iron pan or dutch oven. Not showing off recipes. I felt like I would be interested in trying at least the majority of the recipes in here. That other one, maybe 4 or 5. Great pictures. Well organized and decent variety without breaking out the squid and bison meat. Also has good information on cast iron pros, cons, what to look for, myths and their findings and of course care of cast iron. Great book for beginners and veteran cast iron cooks alike. Review: I just love those COOK'S COUNTRY and TEST KITCHEN books. This one is excellent The first 15 pages show you all about cast iron pans, a buying guide and how to use. As for the recipes, there is a picture on the right page and the recipe itself on the left and the usual HOW THIS RECIPE WORKS. Well done

I just got this a few days ago- I love ATK for solid, delicious recipes. I've just finished replacing all my pots and pans with cast iron so this was a great addition to my cookbook collection. It did not disappoint at all- this may be my favorite book so far! Fabulous recipes! I am not new to cast iron but for someone just getting started they fully explain EVERYTHING about cast iron and it really is not scary-- it's the best!
