The First was a Joke because it was clearly a Used Return Item. Sent that Back, ordered a Replacement one. It Arrived to late for the Birthday Joke and Actually Looked Really Nice ( I'm a Watch Guy since I was 13 yrs old and I'm 53 now,, So?). So Nice I said " How can they do this? How can they Build a watch like this and Sell it for under $100?". The Case, Bracelet fit and Finish, was what I was Impressed the Most by. Next was that they Actually use Real Sapphire Crystal ( i tested it) a 2.5x's Date Magnifier and a Ceramic Bezel Insert that lined up Spot on. The Negative, if you call it One, it had a 60sec Click Ring instead of a 120. That wasn't a Problem because it Lined Up Dead on but the Back play was noticeable but Slight. Note: I never Understood people complaining About Slight Back Play. If you Use Your Divers Bezels the Way you Should, in all kinds of Dirt, Muck, Salt water or just Every Single Day. You'll be Thankful that slight Back Play allows water&soap to Remove that Build up from inside the Bezel Ring area, keeping it from Locking up on you due to debris build-up. Now as to The Dial. It looks like a Quality Dial. Quality in the Sense that it "looks" like ( to the Necked eye) a Dial I've seen on more Pricey'er Time Pieces I have Now and Far More Expensive'er Pieces I've Sold Recently to get ahead of the "Bubble Pop" (that going to happen. I found this Out after putting the Bracelet back onto the Case and Then on my Wrist. About 10mins later, it fell off again. But this Time the Crystal Popped out. I was like " See, that why you don't buy stuff like this". But Wait...hold on a Sec. The Pins/SpringBars were Very good Pins and Pins I Know well being used in my Omegas, Oris, Tudors and so on. I'm not Familiar with it and Not Considering it at All in Talking about this Watch ( I'll tell you Later after some more time with it). I am talking about the Fit, Finish, Size and Look of this Watch. How can they Do this For Under $100? I'm keeping the GMT version and I Ordered this Kermit Green (Big R wannabe) here. I'm doing a Dial Change and Movement Upgrade ( the Movement Upgrade isn't Necessary but I got Two 6R15's that needs homes so, what better home to go into). This Kermit Green Version is Pure Perfection. Not Perfection of top Tier Names, of Course not. But Perfection in Anything being put out up to $1000 to $3000. I'm not exaggerating, in fact, I would go higher on the Particular Piece. Now Remember.. I'm Speaking to Looks, Fit and Finish...not Movements and Use of Materials. But Still.....how can they.......do this? Review: A lot of watch for the money! - Update 9/5/2022: The watch was running about 3 minutes fast every day, which was too much to live with. So I took it to a local watchmaker who adjusted it. That cost me an extra $50 but it was worth it because now it’s running perfectly. It would have been nice if the manufacturer adjusted the movement before sending it out, but I guess they need to cut a few corners to sell these watches so cheap. The other corner they cut is the lume. That’s not a deal breaker for me, because I still love the watch, especially now that it’s extremely accurate! Original review: Maybe I lucked out, because I have heard that some Pagani watches have QC issues- but not mine! I can’t really find any surprising flaws. Like everyone points out, it’s not a high end Swiss watch, so I didn’t expect it to be. But it is a great looking, well made timepiece. My only frustration with it was this: the plastic film that protected the watch left some adhesive in places that was challenging to rub off. And it wasn’t too easy to get the protective film off the crown tip. On to the positives: - Because of the ceramic bezel (which looks great and works well) and sapphire crystal, I expect that the watch will look good for a long time. - I really like the rubber bracelet it came on, and I think the blue / black gradient dial I selected looks very classy. Minor concern: - At first the watch ran fast- approximately 3-5 minutes fast per day. But that seems to have settled down somewhat and it’s keeping pretty decent time now. - A couple of random observations- I don’t care for the look of the cyclops date magnifier. And in my opinion the crown sticks out 1 mm too far. But I don’t blame Pagani for either of these design elements. I ordered an homage watch, and I knew what I was getting myself into. But I think these details could be refined to make this classic design even better. These comments would be better directed toward the company that originated this design. But I’m sure the people at “R” don’t give a hoot what I think, because I won’t be dropping 10 grand on a watch any time soon! If you decide to order one of these, I hope you’re as happy as I am.

A lot of watch for the money!

Very nice for the price but a little rough around the edges
I'm consistently surprised by how nice these Pagani Design watches are (I have a handful of them now). This one, however, is the roughest one I've ever gotten. The metal clasp is really sharp, which isn't good if you're carrying around kids or other stuff that doesn't like to be scratched. The clasp is also a little sticky and hard to use (although that may get better with time). And... some of the screws in the band seem to not screw down very tightly. After some wear/movement, they come a little loose and start to interfere with the clasp. I think this particular model is an earlier Pagani product, which explains the roughness. All of that said, this is still a pretty nice watch. The materials are nice (stainless case and band, sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel, etc.) and it keeps excellent time. Maybe go for a different band to avoid the issues I mentioned. Otherwise, highly recommended.

So Far So Good!
I’ve always wanted to shell out the big bucks (well at least for me) on a nice dive type watch. SEIKO, Citizen’s, Bulova, something along those lines. $500 to $600. More than I’ve EVER spent on an “accessory”! But then I thought, would it just be for special occasions or as an everyday wear? Since I’m retired and no longer in any type of manual labor situation, I started thinking, everyday wear! But then I thought, “can I be trusted? lol So a friend of mine told me about this brand. So I spent about $100 and got this watch. Well, as the title of this review say, “So Far So Good”! Am VERY impressed with the build quality and appearance of this watch. Seems solid. Nice bracelet and clasp. Case looks nice. More navy than blue dial, but that’s okay. Not much in the way of glow in the dark. But once again, okay! Received it about 1 month ago and have worn it almost continuously since then. I have let it run down and then reset it twice using exact time from my iPhone. One time after 5 days, 6 seconds slow. The second time, 8! Idk, maybe I got lucky and got a good one as I have seen they can be all over the place quality wise. But it CLAIMS to have a SEIKO movement! All I know is it looks good, keeps good time, (so far). and I have managed to not beat the crap out of it yet! For me a pretty successful test run for me!

The best homage out there... read why.
I'm a decidedly picky watch collector, and have owned/sold 'budget' and mid-range watches of all kinds for many years. Invicta, Seiko, etc. I also own a couple of proper Swiss divers (Squale) which closely mimic the Submariner vibe and cost substantially more. Taking all of that into consideration - and the fact I've worn and held several real Submariners in my hands - this is hands-down one of the best (if not THE best) homages to the modern-style Subs out there in terms of dimensions, features, and colors. The case, band, crystal, and the bezel, are all amazingly well crafted and finished, and the fact that you get a ceramic bezel at this price point is a huge plus, along with the slide-lock clasp adjustment and the diver extension. The WEIGHT of the watch is amazingly close to a proper Sub, and compares well weight-wise with my Squale 1545 with the Swiss ETA movement. It's obvious the quality of steel used to make these is far superior to some other lower cost watches/homages. These particular models with the Japanese-made Seiko NH35A movement make it even more of an amazing deal because of the reliability and ease of servicing. I have yet to get a Pagani that has any outright or obvious mechanical or cosmetic flaws, but I know they are out there. If you're looking to expand your collection with what I feel is as close as you are going to get to the 'real thing' without spending hundreds or thousands more, then give it a serious look. I added the Green/Black (kermit) to my collection first, and within that same week ordered the black/blue fade dial model (the 'James Cameron' homage) as well.

Incredible Quality for the Price
Bought this as a cheap waterproof sports watch before a trip, but I was stunned by the quality. Excellent materials quality, feels weighty in the hand, although the latch on the bracelet clasp is a bit loose (giving an air of cheapness), literally every other touchpoint on the watch is super high quality. The polished centerlinks on the bracelet are incredible well polished for this price point, they gleam in the light very well. Keeps time quite well (as would be expected with an NH35 movement). Bezel action is VERY TIGHT, not loose or cheap feeling at all, and the blue ceramic color is phenomenal. The dial color is also not black but a nice gray (rhodium-esque) hue which also has a slight sunburst to it, beautiful combination. The crown has a wonderful tactile feel when manually winding and has excellent feedback when pulling to set the time and date. Date window is appropriately sized but the magnification is a bit much, either that or the date number is a bit too large for the aperture, making the date appear a bit outsized, but still readable. I wore this watch every time I went into the ocean salt water and in every pool, for hours at a time, and no issues with the waterproofing at all. Perfect for swimming or probably even snorkeling (although I didn't). My only issue was that some of the screws that I loosened and rescrewed when I resized the bracelet have started coming loose, and halfway through my weeklong trip one of the screws just behind the clasp latch backed out enough to prevent the latch from opening, making the watch unwearable (I didn't have a tiny screwdriver with me on vacation). However that may have been my fault for not tightening it up when I did the resizing so can't blame the manufacturer on that one. Overall, tremendous value for the money, highly recommend buying it if you need a reliable affordable diving automatic watch. I'm in the market for a Tudor Black Bay 58 but frankly this is such a beautiful and effective watch I may be putting off that purchase for a little while.

bracelet fell apart 3 times, at three different locations, in first hour of receiving..
oK. The time has finally come to let the world know about this PD-1661 submariner homage! I was so satisfied with this watch when I first opened up the box. VERY VERY PRETTY! Then I noticed that the cyclops was slightly misaligned. Then I noticed the ceramic bezel was a bit sloppy. However, it is the 120 click version and the bezel and 12' o clock markings do line up. You might be wondering why I had the bracelet off? Well let me tell you.. Like in the first hour, I took it off my left wrist to put it on my right. In the middle of this maneuver, the watch bracelet split and swung apart, resulting in the watch slipping off my wrist completely out of no where. WOW. Luckily it was in my bedroom, on carpet, ok! After I did a quick fix, (because all I wanted to do was just wear the watch, ya know?), Im talking to my bud and I look over at my right hand and I was caught of guard to see it about to fall off again because of a totally different part of the bracelet that also became unpinned! After closer inspection I discovered this. A picture can speak a thousand words, so speak to the world, my faithful pictures- SPEAK!!!! Ok NO PICTURES FOR NOW.... Oh I almost forgot.... The other side of the bracelet did the exact same thing before this. So this happened right after the other side had come apart. Ok so ultimately I removed some links on this bracelet to get the fit just right...NOW The splined pins that were inside these links were extracted by careful grinding and handling.. I NEEDED THEM BADLY because the size and type of these pins were the ones they should have used in the first place... In other words- the factory used undersized, un splined pins when they assembled this precious watch the first time around. Please take a moment to think about why this was even allowed to happen. Or how it even happened. You have dan near perfection, at such a good value and affordable cost... It really is pointless and foolish that your choice to cut this corner would be preventing your watch from being really one of the best damn sub homages out there. IT IS SUCH A GOOD WATCH, imho, it was the inferior pins that made it a fail. So that is ONE side of the bracelet and I will do the other side when it comes back apart. Red loctite for now. It is time consuming. IM GOING TO TELL YOU HOW I FEEL AND WHY IM SO MAD. Im mad because Pagini, with this 1661.THIS could have been number one in regards to an affordable submariner homage!... But careless idiotic decisions, like thinking it would be ok to using splineless pins, too small for their holes. WHO DOES THAT? That kind of carelessness is unacceptable, CMON PAGAINI GET SERIOUS. Let me praise and testify of the good things: Packaging is very good, very classy. With all the warranty cards and paperwork, and pagini branded micro fiber cloth. ITS SO DAMN GOOD GUYS! Man, the sapphire glass- amazing. ITS SO DAMN GOOD GUYS!!!!!!! I KNOW BECAUSE IVE PUT THIS THING THROUGH HELL!!!!!! I do alot of DIY, and this glass has not one little scratch yet! This is so cool. (I had a sieko 5 and the glass on that thing is WHACK. Its all scratched and ugly. ) Ill keep yall updated on how this does, but I bet it stays as beautiful as it is now. 416 stainless bracelet is gorgeous. nh35 movement and rear sight glass is so- sweet! My watch however I noticed is picking up 10 secs or so everyday. Water tight. Ive showered with it and dab some body wash and brush her down from top to bottom, front to back, and that baby looks brand new again, just like when I pulled it out of the box the very first time. And that will be repeatable. I like that. BUT you wanna take all that goodness and superiority and assemble everything together with unsplined, unfitted pins, SO THAT THIS AWESOME PERFECT SUB HOMAGE WILL BE GUARANTEED TO FALL APART? WHY? WHY?WHY, I ASK? DUMB DUMB DUMB. IN A NUTSHELL, this 1661 is everything the good reviews on youtube say it is, except the bracelet literally fell apart on me three times within 20 minutes. AND the included screwdriver is too wide to use on this bracelet. You know what, the description says that customer satisfaction is top priority, etc etc. WE WILL SEE HOW YOU RESPOND TO THIS. PAGINI, STEP IT UP YOU ARE ALMOST THERE BUT THIS FOOLISHNESS MUST STOP NOW. I TELL THE TRUTH!

Pagani Design a Great Value!!
I was a bit disappointed at the green color of the bezel. Does not look like picture. It was a strange forest green. I do like the Pagani Design watches, I own several of them and for the price point they are Great!!
