Polar Premium Black Instant Waterproof LeakSeal 500ml with 3PCS Paint Brush Set for Roofs

Following the recent storms my felted flat garage roof began to leak. Although I couldn't actually see any obvious cracks or holes I knew it was somewhere in a an approx 6 feet square area adjacent to the where the garage roof meets the house wall. I ordered the clear version which arrived within two days. When the the rain stopped and the roof had dried enough that there was no puddling I used an old three inch paint brush (this was thrown away afterwards) and wearing disposal gloves I painted the whole area paying particular attention to seams and along the joint where the roof and wall meet. The best way to describe the product is that it's like painting with runny honey. It's consistency is not so runny that it runs off any vertical but just enough for it to settles into any cracks or rough surface, almost like a levelling compound. I used about half a tin. Within a couple of hours heavy rain occurred. Amazingly no leaks. The instructions state it can be used on damp surfaces and is waterproof within seconds of application although full hardening takes several days. Brilliant.

The clear is iike a thick varnish in the tin and doesn't seem to have any fibres mixed in therefore is not capable of filling big gaps as well as the grey or black. But even so cured my leak on my dads house fist time. The concrete fillet that runs all the way down the parapet wall ( there is no flashing on mine) was cracking and letting in water so give it a liberal coating with the clear and has cured the leak which was quite a big leak first time. I had the same problem on my own house where the fillet goes around the chimney stack but bigger cracks and used the grey which is thicker and again solved my problem first time. So I can recommend this, not the cheapest stuff but you get what you pay for. Also the customer service is first class cant fault them.

I have used it to seal joins in the metal roof of my new metal shed. The roof panels overlap and when it rained they let water in through the overlap joints. The Polar Clear roof sealant paint works perfectly, is not visible because it is clear, and has done the job of sealing the roof.

I used this for my motorhome seal. New to motorhomes, bought old one second-hand. During period of extreme weather - snow, followed by torrential consistent rain I discovered water coming in all over the place from the roof. It was drizzling and threatening more downpours when I applied. Wiped and dried with a microfibre cloth, then applied thick layer over seals with brush. Quickly worked my way around roof seals on still damp panels expecting to at least curb flow of water until I could get to it properly. Amazed that it worked totally - no more water coming in despite the extremely heavy rainfall.It worked a treat and whats more I have loads left, so will be able to touch up next winter and confidently use anywhere that waterproofing is needed.

The little bit that they give you looks like it should do the job ok. When I picked the package up I said to the missus “It feels awfully light, I hope they sent me a litre, it feels like 500mls”. There were 2 500ml tins there but when I opened the first one up I saw why they were light... 😐“Contents may settle in transit”... I’m sure they’ll say or some other b0llocks..It went on ok, and it looks good in place, time will tell if it does the job.

Brilliant product! used another highly recommended product previously (slightly cheaper) which did not stop a leaky garage roof, this is pricey but with the forecast of storms looming I thought id get this before having to shell out on a new roof, it worked! My roof withstood a huge downpour the day after application.

Rating the seller rather than the product, which I'm sure will do exactly what it says on the tin. Have to wait for it to rain again to find out.Excellent customer service from these guys. Great product. Used to seal around some joints on my motorhome roof after being unable to find the source of a small leak. It bridges and fills gaps really well. Goes on easily with a brush and you can smooth the fibres down nicely to get a reasonably smooth finish.
