Is there room for champagne bottles

The champagne bottles I purchased would not fit unless I removed a shelf. Long bottles also don't fit well.

How cold does the wine cooler get?

According to the product description the temperature range for the top zone is 54 to 66°F and for the lower zone it is 46 to 66°F. I keep my top zone at 62 and the lower at 54. The "set" temps aren't quite true so you have to play with it a little. I also use refrigerator thermometers in each zone to get a better read on the actual temperature.

Why can't you ship to California? I understand the other places because they are not in the contiguous states but California is.

This model does not meet the California Energy Commission (CEC) standard for non-commercial refrigerators and therefore is illegal to sell in California.
