Fits Vortex Diamondback 10x50HD binoculars. Well made.
Got this yesterday, after trying another brand for my 10x50 Diamondback HD Vortex binos, which didn't fit. This adapter fitted fine. It allows 2 methods of mounting to a tripod: 1) direct from adapter that attaches to the binos, and 2) indirectly via a bino drop-in adapter. With the latter, you can lift the binos off the tripod and use them in a second, then easily put them back into the adapter for tripod viewing. This affords flexibility, but introduces the risk that you'll pick up the tripod without securing the binos and having them fall off the tripod. As I'm well aware I'm sometimes forgetful, most times I'll choose to attach the binos directly to the tripod to avoid damage to my binos. Either way, the mount that you leave attached to the binos fits in the Vortex bino case. Happy with this purchase.

I love it!
Big improvement over the older version Vortex bino tripod adapter. It’s smaller and easier to move around with, and works flawlessly. I’m able to leave the part that fits in the binos on them, even when I put them in the harness, then I can just take them out and set them on the tripod post. So easy and steady.

Would be nice if it still fit in binoculars case.
The only change I would suggest is that the adapter makes it so the binoculars won’t fit in their case. It would be nice if the adapter was made so that the piece attached to the binocs was smaller and fit in the case with them. The other portion that attaches to the tripod could be bigger to make the connection. That having been said. This does work and it’s noce being able to put 12x binocs on a tripod.

Works great to hold the 12x or greater magnification binoculars steady on a tripod.
Purchased this for our new Vortex binoculars purchased for our upcoming vacation to Yellowstone, Grand Tetons and Glacier National Park.

Solid design
This is a good product, for what it is intended to be, which is a tripod mount that is quickly and easily detached from. The product comes in two pieces. The base screws into the tripod head. The top stem screws firmly and securely into the binoculars, and is then seated into the base. There are two small pins on the bottom of the top stem that prevent it from rotating in the base, but there is no tension or locking mechanism to hold it in place, other than gravity. This is the way I prefer it. If I want to quickly remove the binoculars from the tripod all I have to do is lift them straight up. I don't think I would want an adaptor that holds the binoculars down, as it would make them difficult to remove quickly and they would be toast if somehow the tripod gets knocked over onto rocks or concrete. The binoculars would take the full brunt of the fall if fully attached. At least this way they could fall free of the tripod and stand a chance. I bought this for use with the Vortex Crossfire 8x42 binoculars, and they easily fit back in the included chest pack with the stem still attached and are not in the way at all.

Works great for bino on tripod
Bought this to use binoculars with my gun tripod. I also bought the Neewer fluid head mount to go on the tripod. This is the adapter that goes on your bino and connects to the mount.
