Great bottle, but needs the metal clasp to be closed or if it falls it will spill contents.

Amazing product, using 5 years already, still running well, no smell.

I’ve had my 48 oz Nalgene for about 4 years now and the top finally gave out on me a while ago. This style of bottle comes with the wide-mouth drinker that I’ve always had issues with. As a frequent “passenger princess” I ended up wearing my water often when we were on long drives en-route to our hikes and had previously purchased one of the little rubbery inserts to prevent splashing when I first got the bottle because there weren’t really alternative tops available. The inserts have been annoying and I don’t consistently use them so when the top broke I came back to look for an alternative again and was so excited to find this! It is sturdy and doesn’t leak at all which really shocked me. I will see the open/closure function relies entirely on that metal “pin” and I’m worried for when it inevitably breaks but for now I’m really happy with this alternative to the original tops! I ended up buying another one for our other Nalgene too

I love the one-handed ability to use this and that the drinking spout is always protected from dirt and grime when the lid is closed. Also, it doesn’t leak when upside down or layed down 👍
