Does this have fungus?

I came here only for the comments haha! I thought fungus was a feature I never knew that exist after using rice cookers for over 30 years! 😆 the only thing you need to be worried about these type of pots with coating (nonstick) is CANCER, not FUNGUS

No matter what i do (trying different amounts of water) i end up with a sticky mess. i live in colorado, could that be the problem?

Sticky mess? You must rinse the dry rice in water, until the water is clear. This removes the starchy powder which causes your cooked rice problem. —Buy the correct type of rice for your needs. Be aware of the labels on the packaging. Medium grain rice is ‘sticky rice’ like in sushi. Long grain rice is the soft fluffy kind.

dimensions says 16" is that right? That seems big for the picture

The insert measures 6" across by 2 1/2 deep, Total dimensions of the cooker is 8 1/2 tall by 5 1/2 across. This is a mini rice cooker enough for 2 cups of rice for two. I like it because I do not have any left over rice.

Can it cook brown rice?

Maybe. Since the ratio of brown rice to water is about 1 cup rice: 2 cup water the volume of pot is maxed out prior to cooking. Water and brown rice is full to the top. If you cook more than 1 cup brown rice you should get a larger capacity cooker. The measuring cup supplied with the cooker is 6 ounces full, rather than standard US 8 ounce cup of measurement.

Buena, bonita, barata y muy eficiente

Es una arrocera súper bonita a la vista, además de muy pequeña y práctica (por si buscan algo pequeño para optimizar espacios), y da lo suficiente como para dos personas. Trae su instructivo con algunas recetas, lo cual me gustó mucho porque no solo es para arroz. Llevo ya algunos meses de usarla y me encanta, no se pega nada y es fácil y rápida de usar sin estarte preocupando cada minuto por el arroz. La recomiendo y volvería a comprar

This item is not compatible with UK power, Amazon refunded me on return for this item as usual but the seller told me he would refund the postage that isn't true I keep emailing him through Amazon but now he is now ignoring me.
