What a great book!!!
This author did the most wonderful job compiling all of the evidenced-based knowledge from the psychotherapy world and functional medicine and she spells things out in easy to understand terms with practical steps to stimulate the vagus nerve. I’m a psychotherapist with over 30 years of experience, and I myself have gut issues and have been studying the health field for over a decade and she put it all together beautifully and concisely!!!

Helpful book!
She writes about the issues you need and makes it so easy to understand. She has done her research well ànd has an empathic and knowledgeable approach. You could grasp it and share it with family. Grateful for her experience and reach .

TMI.
This is long winded and meant for a practitioner. Not for self treatment. Too much yadda, yadda and not enough simple instructions. Minimally helpful. I would not recommend.

Great info
I will admit the quality is not top notch. For example, a picture is printed by itself on an entire page.As someone who suffers with gut issues I found this as a fantastic jumping point for information and finding connections to my gut issues and stress. Working with my GI I’m doing better than ever.

Great practical information
Just learning about the vagus nerve and trauma therapy. This was a great practical guide to getting started and to understanding this complex topic.

Mediocre reading
The media could not be loaded. This is a manual in which Wendy Hayden shares her experience based on the unfortunate health history of her family. This is a pure subjective opinion that can guide a reader into a further professional research. I found this manual malorganized with multiple errors, incorrect citations, redundancies, obnoxious waste of pages with unfitted images, and missing revenant information.Page 28 starts the Chapter 4 repeating over and over over (ugh) signs of vagus nerve malfunction.Page 54: Author explained for the next 4 pages how to breathe. Starting on page 60 author extends explanations on another 2 pages of Wim’s Hof method of breathing. Needless to say that the same lengthy explanations will hunt you in chapter 8.Page 93: missing the address of websiteOverall it’s an okay reading material obviously depends on a reader expectations and needs. Personally it’s disappointing feeling and waisted $16.
