PopSockets: Collapsible Grip & Stand for Phones and Tablets - White Marble & Mount

This package includes both the mount and phone grip. I thought the price was high, compared to similar products, but it's what I paid through my cellular service company 6 years ago. The mount broke in my truck, so I needed one desperately. Vent-type mounts don't work on my vertical vents (have tried many). While I didn't need another phone grip, I decided to order this because it appears to be an original, exactly what I had (and what I had, was great); and the newer versions have mixed reviews. I generally use 2 hands to insert & remove my phone from the mount, and I think that's why it works for me (using one hand to remove, while driving, is what broke it). The mount itself adheres very well. Clean the intended surface with alcohol, remove the protective sticker, and press on for 30 seconds; let it sit overnight; and you're good to go. I don't know if the new versions are sturdier, and maybe in 6+ years I'll have to find out. But, it's good to stick with what we know and trust.

I bought this product a long while ago and I am happy I did. The adhesive has not decayed. It's still the same as the day I bought it. The picture has not been damaged (and I use it everyday. Multiple times a day) or worn. The pop tab is durable all around and I would recommend to everyone that drives. It's really made my ridesharing safer, even my overall driving. What I mean by that is, my phone stays in place. If I'm following a map, it's easy to see because my phone isn't swinging about. I don't know. It's just all the other dash phone tools I had before didn't work out. Pieces would fall out. My phone would fall out, it would move even if I had it locked in place. I mean it was just a mess and a hassle. This gives me the peace of mind that I need when I'm working.

UPDATE:2020 Th8s pop socket doesn't really last. For the past probably 8 months I have had an issue with the plastic circle popping out. Now it totally won't even stay in b/c part of the lilpiint that goes in the hole is broken. The circle part that sticks to the 0hine started to crack, Plus the seal has given away, so I have to glue it place so I wouldn't drop my phone. This is my 2nd pop socket that I have purchased in the past 2 years, and they seen to only last about a year if that. I wish they made these a bit more durable. The grip is great the stand is horrible!! Will not stick to ANYTHING like advertised. It is a waste of money. Only buy the pop socket not the stand, b/c you'll be highly disappointed! I would return but I don't even think it's worth the effort..

I LOVE my PopSocket. The adhesive used to attach it to my phone is amazing! I changed phones at one point and was able to just peel it off the old case and stick it on the new one. I then changed cases on the new phone a few times and was able to transfer it again with no issues. In that short time after getting my new phone, but still waiting for the new case to arrive, I had to use my phone without my PopSocket, and it just wasn't the same.... Talk about fear-of-dropping-my-phone-anxiety!! I don't think I'll ever stop using PopSockets.

Update 01/17/2020 - returning, cant keep them stuck on. Its making me too nervous. Do not buy. Update 01/14/2020 - updating my review just a day later. These suck. The sticky part will not stick, it popped off when i was holding my tabley, thank goodness i had it in my lap or I would have dropped it. My case is smooth solid black plastic, so no excuses for this. If they can't stay on for even a day, i dont have enough confidence in this product to trust it anymore and i will be returning. Really bummed about it =( it felt so nice to hold, im convinced now these must be older models for it to be this terrible. 01/13/2020-Ive never had a pop socket before, so I'm not sure of these are older versions of them or what but these feel sorta weak. I love them anyways though because it does make one handing my tablet while reading so much easier. Just wish they had a bit more sturdiness to them and dont feel so 'bendy'.

Husband is a full time trucker and needed some way to quickly display his phone to use as a gps. This has really helped him be able to mount and remove the phone from his dash in his semi. Very happy with the results. Plus the item came quickly and seems to be of very good quality and easy to install. — my second experience was a complete fail. Bought a second set for my phone, same case as my husband. I attempted to stick grip on my case and it literally kept falling off, the adhesive was not sticky at all. I didn’t even hang up the holder bc what’s the use when the grip won’t stay on my phone. Really disappointed this time. Wondering if this one was in storage incorrectly and the adhesive was ruined by improper storing. Idk but it is a complete loss. So I dropped my rating from a 5 to a 3 bc it was so great the first time and completely junk this time.

UPDATE: Usually phone holders give out in the first week. Just waiting for hot day to see if if it stays attached. If not it will. I do route delivery. I'm constantly placing phone in and out of holder. Most suck really bag. The vent clips break your car. The magnets cannot hold a flagship ship phone in case. Those squeeze ones always break teeth therefore dropping for phone Then I found this. It's perfect. The popsocket isn't perfect fit my viewing angle and I've yet to see how the adhesive fairs when it gets warm If you need a great phone holder, buy this.

Pop-socket keeps falling off, it does not stick well. For this price, I’d expect this to be the ultimate gadget, but not better than the $5 kind.
