Michael Vey 2: Rise of the Elgen (Volume 2)

My 11 year old loves these books!

BOUGHT ALL 9 AND VERRY SATISFIED

This was a book I could not put down it really drew me in. I liked that there was no crude language of suggestive material. I like that Michael has a good relationship with his mother and that not all adults are stupid or evil, as is so prevalent in books written for young people

Michael Vey 2 is as good as the first one. Sometimes there are too much dialoges and there aren't big Feelings but I think it has a great story. Sorry for my bad english I'm naturally speak english only in the english lesson (but I could understand the book :-D)

I was interested to see if my son-in-law would enjoy reading The Rise of the Elgen before reading The Prisoner of Cell 25. He is an avid reader of fantisy adventure and lore even though he is a chemistry researcher. He had never heard of these two books. He read The Elgen in 5 hours and wanted to know how many books were in the series. When I told him that I had given him the second book first he replied: "No problem." "It was so thrilling that I hardly noticed." He then read the Cell 25 in half a day then re-read both in the next week. As we talked about how spell bound we both were with the story line, the plausibility of the childrens unique gifts, and the vivid mental visuals that were created while traveling along side each character. I, like my son-in-law, anxiously await Richard Paul Evans next jewel. These books are a delightful journey into the thrilling realm of immagination, science, interpersonal hierachies, the human condition, problem solving under extreme pressure, and the elevating results of personal sacrifice for the sake of another. Thank you for all your wonderful books that have given hope and courage to so many.
