How easy is it to lift the cover? I am considering using this to run an EV cable safely on a pathway, would need to be easy to lift off each time.

easy to remove , just use a small rod with a hook bent on the end then put down through the grill and twist so as to hook the grill/ grate and pull upwards , no real effort reqd just push fit back when done.
