Great little router
This router is fantastic. It’s absolutely tiny, just a little bit bigger than a credit card, but it packs a lot of power. It’s fairly straightforward to setup, and the Goodcloud service is cool too. I would only really recommend this router to fellow technical users. It would probably be a bit daunting for the average end user, as there are hundreds of options. It’s fairly good value for money, but the in built storage is pitiful so don’t expect to be able to install lots of plugins - I got an SD card for that but it’s a bit of fiddling to get setup . Also don’t expect high speeds. The modem is Cat4 I believe so it’s not going to blow you away. Regardless, it’s very impressive for the size. But there are definitely cheaper and more powerful options if you’re not bothered about portability.

Good for camper van
I 3D printed a mount and use this in my camper van. Very low power consumption and good signal penetration (works around 100m from the vehicle). Excellent for remote working or travelling, it will work as well as the signal it receives so using a good carrier is essential.

Good travel router
Good travel router, WiFi range not the greatest. Power supply is mains to 12v and so bought this cable https://amzn.eu/d/aeZzC2t To use in the camper van with a car usb-c pd socket. The dc socket for the router is DC4017.

4G LTE OpenWrt VPN Router - easy to use for Helium mining remote setups
I purchased this 4G LTE router because I needed a router that could connect to my VPS so I could use my static IP. I've set some port forwarding rules and everything was really easy to set up. The router has one of the best and easy to use / navigate router menus I have ever seen, good job GL.iNet. It has tons of features and it is really small in dimensions. Bonus points for the design of the power adaptor. Very sturdy and a really good build quality. I would definitely recommend purchasing this 4G LTE router.

Good router but restarts randomly throughout the day
I’m not sure if I’m doing anything wrong, but this router tends to restart abruptly throughout the day, almost 3 to 4 times a day.

Stock up on headache pills!
The unit initially worked well - then progressed to where we had to use our phones 4g. Why you may ask well I am very experienced with routers and have never had a problem LTE or Fibre but this router tested my patience, it constantly plagued me with emails letting me know it had lost connection- then reconnected! I tried everything and even asked for advice from the Gl-iNet forum, and it still had the problem with connection dropouts, I purchased an external aerial and it still had problems even though it showed I had decent 20 meg speeds. I suspect that the router was connecting to more local less powerful connections and thus kept disconnecting. Trying to fix this was above my pay grade and thankfully Amazon came to my rescue!!!

Great little router.
Great little router.. I used this on a boat and much prefer this device to the Huawei devices I've used before.

Full range of OpenWRT packages.
This device comes with both a very good proprietary admin webpage and also access to the standard OpenWRT Luci webpage through the "Advanced" menu option. All the OpenWRT packages can be found and installed through the "Plugins" option, and SSH is available for configuration too. Also very straightforward to set up with a SIM card.

Werkt goed

Totalmente recomendable volvería a comprarlo.

Excellent
I spent a year in a studio apartment with no wired Internet access. We kept saying we'd be leaving soon, but soon kept dragging on and on. Now, we only go to this apartment a couple times a year, and there's no need to keep a wired internet access service. In Romania, cell phone plans are inexpensive -- 8 euros a month for unlimited data etc -- This router is the perfect solution for this studio where we don't keep wired internet access. Before finding this router, I tried -- WiFi Hotspot on a cell phone -- A USB 4G LTE modem dongle -- A GL-INET Opal travel router, with the cell phone or 4G LTE dongle tethered to the router -- and finally landed on this. This modem completely surpassed all previous methods. It is an advanced very capable WiFi router, with a 4G LTE modem built in, with good antennas. The SIM card is tricky to get into place. It also supports a microSD card which can be used for file storage. But, while I set that up, we never used it. I can leave this router running for days or weeks at a time w/o needing a reboot, and it just works. As with all GL-INET routers (I now own 3 of them) the features are advanced. The throughput is much higher than the other methods I tried, and the result is far more reliable.
