Bosch GWS18V-45 18V 4-1/2 In. Angle Grinder (Bare Tool)

Excellent product, very easy to use.

Very powerful, uses batteries from my other Bosch cordless tools. It's a tad bulky and did not come with a battery, but not that much of a concern to subtract any stars. I love not being tethered to a cord! Got it for $99 and I think that's a great deal. And it's Bosch, so I expect excellent longevity out of it like all my other power tools.

Love it. I use it for many things in my Exteriors business. Haven't dropped it yet, no idea how it will fare when it falls onto a hard surface.

It's powerful enough for what I need it for. I'm just an occasional user. This would be considered the base model of bosch18 v line of grinders. but because i don't use it everyday it suits me just fine. I've read reviews that critize the positioning of the guard, and how it's impossible to adjust. Not true at all. You can, and i have, you just have to read the directions, and know how to use tools. It's that simple. I've adjusted mine to any position that I want with no problems. Just have to know how the tool works. As for as using the tool. It's not the most powerful. I'm running the 4 amp core 18v battery, And it's serviceable. If you're an everyday user of a grinder than you'll probably benefit from one of boschs professional grade ones. It's great for an occasional user.

I did not have the problem that others had mounting the wheel guard, there is a certain way it goes on and it takes some patience to get it completely installed. As far as it’s performance, it’s seems alright so far but have not put it thru extended use. Over all I think it’s a good value especially if it on sale, for me that was $99 before tax.

I bought this for my husband after his beloved Hitachi corded grinder finally pooped out on him. I was nervous about going cordless but after repairing our old grinders power cord several times I decided to try it out. I purchased the bigger 6.4(?) battery for it because my husband is a mechanic and uses his grinder a lot, so increased run time is needed. luckily I already had a charger as I also own the impact by Bosch. It was a hit at Christmas, now my dad wants one too lol.

This cordless grinder is very powerful, you really have to lean on it to slow it down. Before this I had the Makita cordless grinder and it was considerably less powerful. A note about some issues mentioned here 1: yes this is a bare tool. "Bare tool" means it does not include batteries or charger. 2: the guard takes some figuring, you install it backwards and once it is pushed all the way on, it will rotate to any angle you desire.

Big Bosch fan and this grinder doesn't disappoint. Plenty of speed and power. Handle is a little awkward coming from a corded grinder but nothing can't handle with ease.

El aparato trabaja bien, pero al desbastar o uso prolongado se calienta demasiado y se descarga la batería demasiado rápido, sirve solo para trabajos sencillos.

Travail bien et très facile manoeuvrer, le seul point à savoir est qu'avec une batterie 2.0h de 18v, la durée de la batterie n'est pas très longue si on fait du travail intensif. Mais sinon bon produit.

We bought this grinder, and use it with our 4 amp batteries. It works great, but definitely plows through the batteries. If its anything more than a small job, bring your generator, or string wires, or pack several batteries. Our batteries are new, and last all day in a drill, but barely get through a couple pieces of rebar. I have found it is best used for quick welding jobs were you want to clean up a surface. Even with the limitations of the batteries, I would buy it again. It serves the purpose it was purchased for.
