How do you disable high limit?

The high alarm limit cannot be disabled independently from the low alarm. You can either switch the alarm function off, or set the high limit to its maximum value to avoid nuisance alarms.

What is temperature range?

Mine has registered as low as -23. We call this our blast freezer cuz it gets so cold. We also tried both units on it and they were the same temp.

Are probes water proof for use in aquarium? Does unit continue to alarm until reset manually?

The manual claims that the sensor probe is waterproof. The alarm only sounds audibly while the temperature is outside the alarm limits. It shuts off the alarm tone when the temperature returns to normal. You can use the min/max feature to check for any temperature excursions since the last time the min/max values were reset.

Does the probe have an alarm that I can set? Or is the alarm only for the external part that shows the temperatures ?

You can set your own high and low alarm values in Celsius or Fahrenheit. The alarm only applies to the external sensor probe, not to the main display unit. If the probe temperature goes outside your alarm limits the main unit will give an audible chirp but it will stop sounding once the temperature returns to its normal range. You can also use the min/max feature to see if there were any temperature excursions since the last time the min/max values were reset.

Anleitung: Alarm einstellen

Tut ganz gut als Thermometer für den Tiefkühlschrank. Das Kabel ist etwas dicker/steifer als erwartet, geht aber noch. Habe die Anleitung verlegt und lange gesucht, wie man den Alarm einstellt. Für alle anderen, denen es auch so geht: Den Alarm-Knopf 🔔 2 Sekunden gedrückt halten. Im Display blinken HIGH und OUT. Den C/F-Knopf auf der Rückseite drücken, um das obere Limit einzustellen. (Oder C/F gedrückt halten für Schnelldurchlauf) Den Alarm-Knopf 🔔 noch einmal drücken. Im Display blinken LOW und OUT. Den C/F-Knopf drücken, um das untere Limit einzustellen. Den Alarm-Knopf 🔔 nochmals drücken, um die Einstellung zu beenden. Wird das Limit überschritten, piepst der Alarm einige Male (vielleicht insgesamt 5 Sekunden?) und ist dann erst mal stumm. In Abständen von gut einer Minute wiederholt sich das piepsen.

Works well. Easy to set up

We have a standing freezer that a few times our kids did not completely close the door and caused the food to defrost. This helps us see the temperature at a glance and take actions when the temps go above a set point before all our food melts. We have ours set at 20F and it works great.
