The media could not be loaded. TLDR - great idea in theory, but mine stopped working properly within a monthAs we now work from home more, I wanted to make my video call set up look more professional. Enter the ‘Lume Cube’.It throws a lot of light at many different colour temperatures, which is great. However, the diffuser isn’t really strong enough at high settings and the battery life isn’t great when you turn it up. It means you’ve got to have it plugged in all the time.However, the biggest issue is that after about a month it developed a flickering (see video) when it is off and plugged in. Naturally this makes it useless for its intended purpose unless you swivel it away. I am yet to hear back from Luke Cube customer services.Pros:- Bright- Multiple light temperatures- Manual controls, not softwareCons:- Flickering LEDs when off- Low battery life at high settings- Needs a stronger diffuser

I’m sorry to have to echo some of the negative reviews. Beyond the lowest setting, the units switch off after very short periods of time (I’ve bought 2 with the same disappointing result) - even when plugged in.I’m sat near a window so to avoid the half shadow on my face, I need my face illuminated. These just don’t fit the purpose.If you are in an enclosed dark space with no shadows, then these might be ok using the lowest setting to help illuminate. But otherwise very disapppointed, especially given the price of c.£80 per set.Would return and request refund if I could.
